Re: Predictions for 2012
I'm tempted to actually echo your prediction, but I think I'll go with this: Bestseller: X-O (I think this is going to be more of the widescreen action comic) Critical Darling: Archer & Armstrong (I think they're going to tug on the same strings the original BWS run did. It may not be a huge sel...

Re: Which Of The Four New Valiant Titles R U Most Excited Ab
A&A for me! Can't wait to see how they handle these guys, what's changed from the original version, etc. I'm very excited about the other books, but I can't believe that A&A is part of the first wave of new Valiant books! I personally think it's a bold move and shows how much they're focused...

Re: Summer of Valiant: Day Two
I was already excited about everything, but after seeing the Harbinger cover, and how it really does nod to the original #1, that just took my boner to 11. I'm dedicated to following the ENTIRE Valiant Universe they way I wish I had been able to follow the original. I am looking forward to the retur...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
the other week i read one of the Astro City graphic novels, i haven't read Astro City in a long time, man what a great comic. Oh man, I have the whole Astro City run in individual issues, and I've ready up through the 20-odd issue run from Image/WildStorm, but still haven't ready the stuff past tha...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
After some consideration over what old creative runs to read or re-read, I think I'm going to tackle John Byrne's Namor run from the early '90s. Byrne wrote AND drew the first 25 issues and wrote the next 10 or so with Jae Lee on art and I have that whole set of issues and have never read past the f...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
I think I'm going to give Final Crisis a re-read :thumb: :o Well there goes your sanity for a while When I read the main Final Crisis story, the only stuff I read is the Morrison FC stuff, along with Tomasi/Mahnke's Requiem and Rucka's Resist. When I say the Morrison FC stuff, I include Superman Be...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Finished my re-reading of the Morrison Batman epic as it stands to date. Definitely interested to see where it goes from here, now that the true identity of Leviathan has been revealed. Also finally finished reading Supergods as well (I was going through it at a very leisurely pace, sometimes I woul...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
I am approaching completion of my complete re-read of the Morrison Batman run. I am now on the last stretch, reading Batman, Inc., of which I am now through the first 2 issues. As I was reading through the middle act of this run, I believe I have devised a nice, neat way to read through the combined...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Read my way through Batman 676-681 this morning. This is my first time reading through the full RIP arc since publication, and certainly my first time reading it with a total refresh of the context of the story in relation to everything that happened from the beginning of the run. RIP most definitel...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Finally got around to rereading Morrison's Batman. Because it's a bit of a multiple-choice decision in how you go about reading it, even early on, here's how I've gone about it: Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight 6-10 Arkham Asylum Batman 655-658, 663-669, 672-681 This is just for starters. I've onl...

Re: Only The Valiant Podcast
Finally listened to episode 64! Enjoyable episode, gentlemen! I'm so excited for May to get here and get some active discussion about what's going on in the new Valiant! Any hints on what we may need to pre-read for the next episode?

Re: God Loves Man Kills & Death of Captain Marvel
One reason why I think Nightcrawler was such a strongly resonating character for you in GLMK is because Nightcrawler has always been an openly Christian character and Christianity/religious faith is one of--if not THE--main theme of the story. How can you use Christian faith against someone who shar...

Re: Shooter's Most Recent And Perhaps Last Legion Run
That particular Legion run is the only Shooter-written Legion stuff I've ever read. How does earlier Shooter Legion material stack up? How does it compare to, say, the DnA run which I would say is my favorite Legion run even though I haven't read the entire thing yet.

Re: Shooter's Most Recent And Perhaps Last Legion Run
I've got that whole 50-issue Legion volume, and the Shooter issues are the only ones I've read because that was where I came on board with the Legion for the first time and I haven't gone back to read the first 35 yet. I have to say that I really enjoyed it overall, but you can definitely tell as yo...

Re: Anyone use Drawerboxes?
I have the short boxes (about 24 stacked 3 high) in my bedroom. My wife is ok with them against the back wall because they look neat when you connect them together. I didn't do the long boxes because they are just too bulky and heavy. I bought them two at a time until I had everything boxed up. Onl...

Anyone use Drawerboxes?
So I'm doing a little reorganization around my house, getting some new furniture and accessories (bookcases, bedding/sheets, curtains, etc) and changing/redecorating some things. I'm turning a previously unused room into a den/reading room and I'm moving all my books and CDs into this room. I would ...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Wow, Elveen! I can't believe you're just now reading God Loves, Man Kills. A classic Claremont X-Men story that definitely is a product of the time it was published. My copy is very worn out from me and each of my school friends reading it 100 times apiece. I've had it since I was in 3rd grade, whic...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
I'm catching up on months 2 and 3 of the DC New 52 books I'm following. Trying to get caught up on my current books so I can dive into my vacation reading and also to be caught up when my DCBS order arrives next week. Also reading my way through "Supergods," which I'm finding to be an inte...

I honestly don't have a preference. It's just cool to see them immediately taking a "universal" persepective and approaching this relaunch from an appropriate scale and perspective.

There's only 3 reasons to "read" Gen 13, and that's to see big *SQUEE*, long legs, and tight *SQUEE*.

That's a little project I'm looking to get into down the line. Are the New Universe books very expensive to obtain for the most part?
