It seems ridiculous to me that nearly a month after announcement we have no idea who is actually writing and drawing these stories.

There is no reasonable explanation as to why they wouldn't reveal this, the most important information, and it is starting to sour me towards it a little bit.

i think ultimately he would have more creative control at dark horse. Also, he wouldnt have to integrate characters he didnt create, by people he may or may not like.
