Re: Does anybody want the Gold Key trinity back anymore
I don't think VEI needs them now, but I would like to see something worked out regarding reprint rights, mainly so I can get the Deluxe Hardcover Omnibus of Unity that I've wanted since the mid 90's.

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
Valiant's reasoning aside I can only see this backfiring long term. This strategy is a big turn off both to my LCS and me personally. I want to see Valiant grow, but not at the risk of losing existing fans like myself. I know, right? I just don't understand how actively alienating and angering the ...

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
Valiant is finishing their third year of publishing and starting their fourth year. They will have to do some new things and take some risks. It seems like the majority of Valiant fans would agree... yes, VEI should probably try some new things and take some risks. The Legends of the Geomancer ince...

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
asking DCBS about the price on Legends of the Geomancer... "We apologize for the confusion. The price has been updated to $20.00. We were not aware that this title was a 1:25 copy incentive." is this a case that there are so many comics in previews, that companies miss this kind of thing?...

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
For everyone who places themselves in the "readers only" category - Why don't you buy mostly trades, hardcovers, omnibuses, ad compendiums rather than floppies since they are often cheaper and sometimes contain more "content"? 1.I still love monthly comics, so I still buy them. ...

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
As someone who has bought every single new Valiant title as it has come out, not to mention supported Acclaim and the original Valiant (including paying $60 for Solar #10 and $400 for Harbinger #1-5 back in the day), I have very likely bought my last Valiant comic. The sheer audacity and arrogance ...

Hi Warren,
I'm really sorry for how hostile this is gonna sounds, but in reference to Legends of the Geomancer....why has VEI decided they don't want their digital customer's money?

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
Why then give speculators a story that only they could get? It's like they are forcing readers to spend like a speculator. Why not let the market decide. We may find this book is much more affordable than we expect. I don't understand getting worked up over something before it has even happened Thi...

Re: Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer
I can understand all of the comments in this thread. Honestly I can. But..... One thing VEI has not had is heat on a back issue. Not a hard to find variant, there are a few of those ( but you can get the inside story easy, just not he specific cover). But they do not have any heat, nor have they ha...

Not according to what VEI has said so far. The solicitation actually specifically said "No Digital".blujay wrote:As long as it's on Comixology I'm satisfied

Re: Legend of the Geomancer Opinion Poll
No. Just....no. A variant? Yeah, whatever. But, actual STORY CONTENT being made intentionally rare and exclusive? Nope. I'm a digital customer. So, they apparently don't want me reading it. I love you Valiant. I want to support you. I like giving you my money. If you don't want to sell me your produ...

I wouldn't say I dropped DC for Valiant, but VEI just happened to be picking up steam right about the same time I finally got fed up and washed my hands of the New 52.

Re: Warren Simons named VEI Editor-in-Chief
Screw the Hollywood film announcement idea, the massive announcement is that they're selling all VEI rights to a video game production company so that the properties can be used to make a few games and then disappear into the ether as the company goes bust. We're all about some tempting fate here, ...

The sad thing is, I'd buy this for the paperwork. Wow. Reading these comments makes me glad I've never read these issues. Now if only I could have avoided Deathmate the same way. Eh, at least I could (mostly) follow what was going on in Deathmate (Though I'll confess to having a little soft spot for that series. It was my introduction to the VH1 c...
