Re: What comics are you reading now?
Besides reading some Valiant this week, I managed to finish Marvel's Civil War TPB. While I didn't have too much issue with the general concept, I thought they completely mis-characterized Capt America and Iron Man. I am glad that so many heroes in the story doubted what they were doing, pro or con ...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Bought and read Hawkeye #1. All my cool comic friends said it was awesome, as did many reviews online. Me? I thought it quick, boring and didn't go anywhere. I wasn't expecting a Thanos battle or mockingbird appearance, but Russian thugs and dog saving? I felt like i was reading the writer's crib no...

Re: Thinking of getting back with Avengers, am I nuts?
Oh yes Hickman's FF is great! As part of the new Marvel NOW project, they announced that Hickman will be the new writer on TWO Avenger titles. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=39543" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; EDIT: He is writing Avengers and New A...

Agreed as well. Although I think I would be happy with a future story even with Magnus and Rai. Well maybe we need Rai.

Re: What's better than and what's not better than...
I'm sure they can come up with better ideas than some of these: HARD Corps How dare you? I happen to love the concept of HARD Corps, one power at a time controlled by a dispatcher-type person. I am not sure about the execution of the book in VH1. But the concept was fresh and has not been don...

Wow, thats pretty heavy. Probably one of the bloodiest comics I ever heard of. I guess Miller's involved so I shouldn't be surprised.
So whats the sequel going to be about?
thanks

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Captain Marvel #1 Carol Danvers, the former Ms. Marvel, reluctantly takes the name of the still dead Kree super-hero and gets a new costume (and maybe some new powers). The artwork is nice but the story doesn't explain why she changed her costume. This feels like Marvel's attempt to do a Batwoman l...

Is there a new version of this somewhere?
I mean VEI's Valiant is completely new and different. It's a separate universe.

I think VEI could do a pretty awesome job with sci-fi/space opera like Psi-Lords. Of course I want it to be resurrected. I just think it had a greater potential than was actually ever used. Is Mike Leeke still doing comics? But yes yes, Geomancer the Kid and HARD Corps are pretty cool, definitely br...

Well I hope baldy isn't Jack and unlike what the creator said in the MTV article, I still hope its more street-level (Orleans); however I really like what I see and I can't wait to read it. PS Seeing as I remember Jack being half white/black, and this pic has a pregnant woman crying for Mr Baldy, I ...

SJS4, did you ever get the Rune/Silver Surfer book? I have it, I got it for .25 cents somewhere. Actually a decent 1/2 read by the late great John Buscema. The other 1/2 is more the Rune story and its terrible.

How does Comixology work? Do you get to actually download the books and then you need a Comixology viewer to read them? Or do you have a virtual book shelf on the Comixology website?

While I agree SW was a lame concept/lame, I am not a big fan of Future Force either.
I guess V1 wasn't too great in the team book department. Fresh start is in order.

Team book sounds fine, but why Secret Weapons? I think a new name is in order. SW carries no significance.

Could it be the Psi-Lords from the future?jmatt wrote:The Vine didn't create the armor and they appear to know little about it.
That means that somewhere out there is a civilization that did create it. Possibilities abound.
