Re: The Bat-Thread

Some thought on my reads of this week: - Batman: Universe - One of the worst Batman books that i've read in a long time. BEAUTIFUL ART, though, but that doesn't make up for the lame story here. I just rolled my eyes non-stop while reading it. Batman sounds like a moron here, and hahahahasofunnyherea...

Re: The Devil's Thread: Matt Wagner's Grendel

There's a serious lack of WTFisms in this book, so far. I have no problems with the somehow outlandish premise, but I thought this was going to get crazy and weird as soon as they started hopping from planet to planet... There's still half to come, so, let's hope it turns out being one of those type...

I grabbed them all, cover price of f*cking course, and when I got home I discover that the ma...

Re: The Devil's Thread: Matt Wagner's Grendel

Hey guys, just wanted to share this bit of news, of sorts- BI Magazine is doing a creator-owned comics' special issue coming this next February, and Matt Wagner's creations get cover treatment. https://twomorrows.com/images/large/backissue/BI125_LRG.jpg I might be wrong on this, but is the cover an ...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

I just read the Absolute Edition of All Star Batman and Robin: The Boy Wonder. The introduction explained that this story is in the same bat-verse as Dark Knight, Dark Knight Returns, etc. Knowing that, I really enjoyed the series. I enjoyed the Batman with an edge, and art (of course) was fantasti...

Re: DC Layoffs

So, Death Metal, DC's latest BIG event is supposed to be an "Anti-Crisis" where at the end we'll realise that "everything/every story matters". Snyder's words. I take from this that DC is going to give up on a shared linewide continuity for future monthlies- and with these more recent news, I also t...

I will personally mail Bad Idea books to anyone, anywhere in the world. I am confident I can get copies. That's mighty kind of you, bud. I might bug you if something drops that is completely unmissable, but... i don't think I will, tbh. I mean, if a company "doesn't care" if some fans will be...

They need to find the button that would add a store in Germany already. And in ol' Portugal too. But honestly, I am just not hopeful. At all. The non-english speaking countries are an afterthought for publishers, have no idea why in this age where almost everyone speaks the language. Maybe they get...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Finally got around to read Doomsday Clock . This was absolutely- and tbh, surprisingly -VERY, VERY good, specially after the middle until the very end, last freaking panel. And it sure reads better in one sitting, I had called quits on the 4th issue delay, I think. DC fans who haven't read this yet,...

Ok, I know its been quite a while - but I finally ended up buying Witcher 3 about 2 months ago while it was on sale in the Playstation Store - along with a couple other cheap games to potentially play out during this pandemic isolation time. Still haven't played it, as I decided to take your advice...

I started playing this a few days ago, got the remastered version on XBox on the cheap so I thought I'd give it a try. While I'm not a Gamer I do love some well built fantasy worlds, and this one is remarkable in the visuals and "feel" of the setting. Just unique and that's why I am trying the game(...

I'm loving this, even if it only just started, 2 issues out. :D Its a beautiful looking comic (great work by MW and son) and story-wise is completely different from anything Grendel that came before, as it was expected. Re: BAD IDEA

I honestly hope its more of a new publisher a la Image, with indie-flavored ongoings rather than a self-contained Universe of super people, a la Valiant. There are already many Image and Image-like books. Besides Image, there are Aftershock, Vault, Scout and others. And about half the output of Boo...

My 2 Euro cents: If the GK3 were part of this thing, I'd be on the meh camp. Honestly, the only place where this might even be a thought is here, at a fan site about Valiant. Which has 0 to do with this thing, except for the obvious "its the VEI OG staff". Why would the GK3 be on their thoughts, giv...
