Re: Passive Aggressive (Aggressive version)

It’s absolutely is NOT DMG book…however as it’s produced by Dinesh et al I consider it more legit Valiant that the garbage spewed out under the Valiant name at the moment. I’d say this is a valid point. Valiant in every way but title box on the cover. And the current Valiants are Valiant in name on...

The Lot #2

Story by Marguerite Bennett, art by Renato Guedes. As with issue #1, this is a decent story but feels clunky to read in parts and there’s also some panels where it’s unclear what’s being depicted. It leads to a somewhat disjointed read, but there is an interesting story in there and by and large the...

Re: Valiant FCBD 2021

Finally picked this up. Ninjak - art and story abysmal XO x 2 stories - art ok, stories abysmal. Get this D level writer off Valiant’s premier character before he does irreparable damage! Harbinger - could this look any LESS like Peter Stanchek. The “be better” line alone tells us this is going to b...

Tankers #3 (2021]

Vditti having a ton of fun with OTT tale of timetravel and dinosaurs. Not to be taken seriously it’s non-stop shoot me up action with art by Ryp and incredible cover by Larosa! More Hank Howard Pizza Detective fun in the back up story, this time with the brilliant David Lapham on the art. Vditti jus...

Passive Aggressive (Aggressive version)

Matt Kindt and David Lapham team up to bring 2 different perspectives of the same story. No doubt everyone knows the drill by now but some shops got the ‘Aggressive’ version and some got the ‘Passive’ version. As there’s only on chain in the UK the whole country got the ‘Aggressive’ version, not sur...

Probably going to anger some VALIANT diehards, but if this is the best they can do, it might be time to become a Dead Universe again.
Valiant die hards hate the current trash DMG are putting out! If you want change then don’t support the current sub standard versions of XO, Harbinger, Savage etc

Re: Ninjak #1(2021) Review

Err...no, just no! DMG haven’t earned the right to be this experimental. You don’t follow failure after failure with a new launch of Ninjak with this art/colouring. It beggars belief who’s been allowed to make this decision at Valiant. Difficult to assess the story with such distracting art, maybe w...

Slay Bells (one shot)

This was not my my cup of tea. The story of a father and his son out hunting on Christmas Eve and accidentally shoots a reindeer which causes them all to panic and get impaled on tree branches. Father Christmas isn’t happy and goes looking for revenge. A dark comedy book ensues but it’s not what I f...

The Lot #1 plus a new Ninjak story!

Was looking forward to reading the Lot by Maguerite Bennett and art by Renata Guedes after hearing the pitch about a film studio where horror films were made but the deaths were real! Interesting concept, maybe I need to re-read it but it felt ‘clunky in parts’. Still interested to know how it devel...

Re: Tankers #2.....anyone?

V-ditti having fun with this 3 part mini series. Littered with amusing one liners such as ‘lighten your loads’ ‘turn and burn’ etc Nice twist that the Tankers have to go back in time to kill themselves is interesting. Looking forward to the finale. Back up story ‘the Provider’ was a touching tale ab...

Eniac #4

Fantastic end to this 4 part series from Matt Kindt. Suspenseful throughout with psychological twists and turns along the way. Eniac ultimately leaves earth for further reaches which leaves it open to return in the future. The back up story was BONKERS!!! You’d need to read it to appreciate it, but ...

DMG Valiant want us to read the books Citation needed. I think you are making assumptions here. Reasonable assumptions, admittedly. Are we really sure they wanted us to read their books? Hmmm …that’s a valid point. Maybe I should have just purchased and put straight into a short box. I might do tha...

I'm gonna give it a shot, but it's so far removed from what I know Ninjak to be that it's extremely off-putting.
Same. I’m pinning my hopes on the story being worth the money :hope:

Re: The Visitor #6

Wow, what an anti-climatic waste of time! DMG Valiant want us to read the books but is anyone at Valiant reading the books? So for some reason (?), Kubo knocks out both Dauber and Akuma and tells them ‘I will let you kill yourself honourably’, but next scene he’s tied them to a rocket and shoots Aku...

Re: The Visitor #5

The first 4 issues of this series were a pretty slow burn so the ending of this series really needs to justify being a 6 issue series. I wasn’t invested enough in this to re-read the previous issues so maybe I was doing it an injustice. I thought it was ‘ok’, the Dr Silk reference seemed to come out...
