Re: Bloodshot Unleashed Reloaded #1
Did Deniz Camp write XO? I thought that was Dennis ‘Hapless’ Hallum?

Re: Bloodshot Unleashed Reloaded #1
Well, give Mantella a chance before asking for a replacement. https://youtu.be/Zc9Dms2M3Dc Ok I’m persuaded to try issue #2, mainly because the reviewer recognised how bad issue #1 under Campz which tells me he’s legit. I thought he was way too harsh on the art as it looked good to me. :thumb:

Re: Bloodshot Unleashed Reloaded #1
Why did I buy this?? I already bought Deniz Camps previous Bloodshot mini which was essentially a ‘baddie of the month’ mindless violence drudge. But as always a few months go by and Valiant launch a new series so I get all optimistic and order a copy …of Deniz Camp on Bloodshot. What do I get…a ba...

Britannia: The Great Fire of Rome
It’s been a while since a Britannia book was released and my memory of the characters was sketchy at best. Expectations weren’t too high on this one ….but it was actually VERY GOOD!! When it was first launched, Britannia seemed an odd fit as it wasn’t explained how it meshed with the rest of the Val...

Livewire & the Secret Weapons (one shot)
This was, overall, a decent effort but at times confusing. Been a few years since I’ve read Livewire or Secret Weapons and writer Steven Grant did a good job reintroducing the characters. Currently off the grid in Costa Rica this story starts with Livewire on the therapists couch. The other characte...

Re: Let’s settle this once and for all …BEST VALIANT EVENT!
Unity is a no brainer, but Armor Hunters and Harbinger Wars were both incredible. Was never really feeling The Valiant, but admittedly I was in the middle of checking out of Valiant completely when it came out. Not sure The Valiant even counts as an Event. It was really just an EW miniseries. No ti...

Re: Bloodshot Unleashed Reloaded, an ‘apology’ for the DMG era?
Just read Bloodshot Unleashed Reloaded #1 and I’ll put a review in the Review sections (spoiler alert it’s a waste of money). In the book there’s a cringe return of Bloodsquirt who regularly pops up in an annoying ‘breaking the 4th wall’ type way. This includes an ‘hilarious’ nod and a wink presuma...

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Unlikely from posts I read here. The first three or four years of VEI were some of the best books on the stands, but I'm pretty sure I checked out when I needed to. EDIT: What about Imperium and Life and Death of Toyo Harada?!? Both of those were fun. ‘Fun’? They were as good as comic books get. :o...

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Have to say, I had my doubts when the rights went to Alien, but I’ve been impressed with the creative teams being announced. The previews are the best the VALIANT books have looked in a while and it sounds like they’re developing/continuing the shared continuity from VEI/DMG before a soft reboot co...

Re: Let’s settle this once and for all …BEST VALIANT EVENT!
If Unity doesn’t win in a landslide, I’d be surprised, but my second vote would be for Harbinger Wars. Love everything from Josh Dysart. I was so torn between Armour Hunters and Harbinger Wars. I wish this was a poll where you could vote twice, I bet we'd see very different results. Yes I’m re-read...

Re: What are your MUST-READ Valiant stories?
Here's mine: 1. Dysart's Psiot Cycle 2. Solar #1-11, followed by Unity. 3. Venditti's X-O Manowar, including Unity Vol. 1 and Armor Hunters. 4. BWS' Archer & Armstrong 5. Van Lente's Archer & Armstrong 6. Kindt's Rai and 4001, followed by Abnett's Rai. 7. Divinity 1-3 8. The Valiant 9. Kind...

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Have they stopped putting books in stores all together? Did they announce that? Supposedly we'll see comics in stores again at some point, but 'Bad Idea 2 Pt. 1' ended in March 2023 . They did release Inebrio Horsefeathers (one-shot) last November and Destroyer (another one-shot) in December, which...

Ok so Alien have a new ambitious event planned for 2024. Historically, Valiant have come up with some bangers in the past …but which one tops the rest?
Speak now or forever hold your peace!
*If anyone from Alien reads this then the events listed are the bar you should be aiming for!

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Harbinger Wars 2 was a big disappointment but we know we only got a version of the story was supposed to be right? Of course, but why does that matter? We're talking about the overall perception of the final product. I’m pretty sure they did ‘boycott’ DMG after they way they treated Dinesh. Yes Dys...

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
The intention by Alien is good but they haven’t got the quality of writers to pull this off. Rather than have so many new books why not have fewer but pay for A tier writers? I wonder if Dysart, Kindt, Lemire and VDitti are still boycotting Valiant? Maybe with Alien at the helm it might change thin...
