Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics

Met Chris Claremont so that was a treat. Dragged in my Uncanny X-Men Omnibus for a signature which gave him a good laugh. Also met Esad Ribic and had him sign some books including XO #1 as well as a sketch of an Uncanny X-Force blank which Remender had sketched on.

Snyder and Capullo were in a ...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics

Batman #1 at $70.00. :hm: Must be tons of demand or, more likely, speculators. It sold 188,000 copies when it came out which is a huge amount by modern standards.

This might end up being a new modern key, or maybe a book associated with the beginning of a new age of comics. :hm:

I think it's ...

Re: Harbinger Wars #1 Discussion

I keep forgetting the HARD Corps are still set to show up. I am not really sure everything can be contained in 4 issues.

so those kids in the starting weren't current versions of the H.A.R.D corp? i was really confused on that, there were some similarity like the chip that could kill them if they ...

Re: The Boys

The work of Garth Ennis in general is something I find frustrating and The Boys is a good example of that. Really interesting take on superhero comics and no one writes a touching buddy scene like Ennis. He's written most of the few comics that have made me misty-eyed.
Thing is, he sometimes goes ...

Re: The Boys

I'd almost call this a "guilty" pleasure, for lack of a better term. It is a fascinating version of the superhero story that skews very dark and cynical and darn if it's not the first thing I choose to read whenever I get a new volume!

i know exactly what your talking about and to be honest this ...

The regular free comic book would have a print run of 100,000 copies while this Valiant Fans FCBD Variant is limited to 3,000 copies.

that's a 1:33 price variant right now! DCBS would sell it for $30!!

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics

I think if you really want to speculate on a Batman book right now, it's issue 7, the first appearance of Harper Row.
it would have only been worth it if in DOTF babs turns back to oracle by getting shot or injuried again by joker and harper row turned into the new batgirl
but since we know that ...

Batman inc 8 will most likely be a flash in the pan, like Captain America 25 or any other similar issues.

I can see that.
