Re: When will we see Rai #0
usually happens around the end of the first year, right? I'm assuming they're planning a zero issue for RAI as we speak.

Re: Suggestions for new Rai creative team
V-Ditti writing.
This! There's no writer I trust more than V-Ditti right now. He knocks everything out of the park.
I think I even heard an interview with him on a Green Lantern podcast where he said Rai was one of the characters he was most interested in writing for.

Re: Suggestions for new Rai creative team
Mark Waid is good but his writing is too lighthearted for a Rai book IMO. Rai is a pretty self serious character. It's one of the many things that makes him compelling.
I've been a faithful reader of Waid's Daredevil series and I think he hits all the emotional beats ... he has delved into a ...

Re: UNITY #1 Discussion
Been gone a while but I'm back. Had to after this tremendously badass Valiant issue.
Two things:
1) Ninjak is awesome
2) I want Rai and I want him NOW
Oh and one more thing actually, so SPOILER: I think Harada is using Unity to procure the Manowar armor for himself. I think that's why the solicits ...

Re: After Unity have to start dropping titles
There's no way I'm dropping Shadowman after what I've heard and seen about #13.
It's went from the worst title I'm getting to my most anticipated.

Re: After Unity have to start dropping titles
I realize that with the addition of EW and Unity I'll have to start dropping a title for every new one they release (if I want to add the new one). It sucks because i liked being able to read almost every title in the Valiant line. But it's inevitable that I'll finally have to start compromising ...

Re: Eternal Warrior #1 Discussion
Here's my dilemma with the book:
If you were a first time reader and not a Valiant fanatic, does that story leave you with enough oomph to make you spend four books on the next issue? I don't really know the answer to that question since I already have a lot of love for the character and will buy ...

Re: Vote for your favorite storyline so far (Part III)
Planet Death ftw! V-Ditti, Cary Nord and my favorite sci fi epic. What's not to love?
Let me clarify a bit more:
1. Planet Death
2. Enter Ninjak
3. By the Sword
4. Harbinger Wars
5. Renegades

The cover for that issue is on the "coming soon" section of VF and it is flippin amazing!
Does this mean I'm supposed to know who the new creative team is?

Re: XO Manowar #16 Discussion
Well because my LCS keeps screwing up with my Valiant titles I had to wait to get this one. I hate that because I miss on the conversations here. Same goes for Shadowman #10. I won't get that thing til like the end of next week now because they (or who they get it from) messed it up. That's twice in ...

Re: Eternal Warrior #1 Discussion
Not a bad first issue by any means, just not on the same level as X-O, Bloodshot or Quantum & Woody as far as first issues go.
The writing was good, but I felt it went by kind of fast. Usually a good issue takes me 10-15 minutes to read, while taking my time looking through the art. But this was ...

Re: Great interview with Dinesh plus movie info
I think of Bloodshot as a GREAT Science Fiction character foremost
I wouldn't want it to devolve into a simple, empty headed action flick
A balance between mind bending, ethics probing, character driven scifi fantasy and over the top gore-fest violence
Frankenstein meets bladerunner meets hard ...

How do you get the Variants?
How do people get the variants? I once got a pullbox valiant for X-O when I ordered issues to catch me up, but otherwise I have no idea how people get variants especially the rare ones. Midtown comics website I've found you can order them, is that how everyone gets them by paying those obscene prices?

Re: Great interview with Dinesh plus movie info
I'd like to see the Bloodshot film made in a really authentic typical 80's action film style, like a 'the replacement killers', or Rambo, or that sort of thing  Gotta get those 80's synth keyboards out for the soundtrack!
Agreed! Bloodshot is really a send up to those 80s action flick muscle ...

Re: Bloodshot #0 Discussion
In the first or second issue, Kuretich says something to the effect of "Oh my beautiful blue eyed boy, what did they make you do?" That made it sound like it was one guy, not a collection of people.

Re: Bloodshot #0 Discussion
How is he not a person? Our brains are essentially computers in that they process information. In this case the data is memories, and the software to carry it out is free will, or sentience. Of course he's a person. Anyone that can reflect on their actions and feel emotion is a person in my book ...
