If I had to guess... he got into creating comics at age 22 to make a living.
At age 40, he now has all the money he'll ever need.

George Lucas was done with Star Wars at age 39.
it's always about the money.

Re: Thomas Kinkade does superheroes now?

The Thomas Kincade story is almost like if "the story of Beanie Babies" could be about a single person. kincade went to my college. his story is fascinating. two lawyers approached him with a business idea. That idea worked. they all made a lot of cash. so did many others. one of my instr...

Re: Dysart’s sets the record straight on Harbinger

I'm sorry, but they did make a choice. I understand that VEI had a vision in mind, but they could have went with Dysart if they wanted. Now, it's up in the air as to whether that was a good idea or not, but seeing the final product and the s**t show that is Harbinger Wars II, I'm gonna go out on a ...

Re: Dysart’s sets the record straight on Harbinger

when I had said that Dinesh and co. chose Roberts over Dysart, I didn't mean that they literally sat down and had to decide between two pitches. Because really, VEI did choose Roberts over Dysart. It might not have been so cut-and-dry, but that's exactly what happened. Not necessarily. The back and...

Re: Rate your trust, Vfans moderators vs other board moderat

Mod abuse is a real thing. I've never seen it here. 9.8 out of 10 because only jacky chan is perfect. Same. There was this kid (he was 14 or 15) who was the mod of the Official Fighting Fantasy forums around 2003/2005, I swear I wanted to beat the living *SQUEE* out of that snotty punk *SQUEE* kid ...

My experience trying to offload TPBs led me to start purchasing only hardcovers. TPBs do not hold their value well. Having a run will help I assume.
