Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Unlikely from posts I read here. The first three or four years of VEI were some of the best books on the stands, but I'm pretty sure I checked out when I needed to. Not sure if you're counting 2015, but that was arguably VEI's best year, and while there were some questionable decisions made after t...

'Fist & Steel' specifically refers to the duo of Gilad and Ninjak.ManofTheAtom wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 1:22:58 pm Although "Fist & Steel" is specifically about Gilad the Eternal Warrior, that could work as the title of a team-up series.

Re: Let’s settle this once and for all …BEST VALIANT EVENT!
Man, this is hard! All four of these are S-tier imo.
That said, I voted for VH1 Unity. It's perfect imo. It naturally flows out of an ongoing story, everyone has something interesting to do, and the story comes together nicely in the end.

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Have they stopped putting books in stores all together? Did they announce that? Supposedly we'll see comics in stores again at some point, but 'Bad Idea 2 Pt. 1' ended in March 2023 . They did release Inebrio Horsefeathers (one-shot) last November and Destroyer (another one-shot) in December, which...

Re: The ‘tell Alien which Valiant book needs fixing’ poll
I liked Sword of the Wild and Harbinger Renegade. Rest I wish never happened. Except which Dr. Mirage? I love the VEI one. I like Sword of the Wild and Renegade too, but there's a reason they're in the C-tier. The lore in 'Sword' is nonsense, and was rightfully dropped like a rock, plus the story i...

Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Harbinger Wars 2 was a big disappointment but we know we only got a version of the story was supposed to be right? Of course, but why does that matter? We're talking about the overall perception of the final product. I’m pretty sure they did ‘boycott’ DMG after they way they treated Dinesh. Yes Dys...

Let's not forget that Harbinger Renegade and Harbinger Wars II did no favors for the IP either. The Harbinger wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 11:07:15 pm Bummer they completely lost faith in the Harbinger IP, but can't blame them. That last Harbinger run may have killed the series and we're left with "zany" Faith adventures.

Re: The ‘tell Alien which Valiant book needs fixing’ poll
Yeah there’s some shockers there, I’d put Psi Lords alongside them though :P lol which ones are the shockers? The ones I listed are what I consider to be the F-tier. Psi-Lords would be in the C-tier, alongside stuff like Eternal Warrior: Sword of the Wild, Dr. Mirage, Gen. Zero, Harbinger Renegade,...

No, because I don't have Facebook because I am not a 14 year old girl and I don't have grandkids that I want to hear about. Although, the 14 year old girl thing might not be the most current thing. I think they are on something else, like the instant grahams. And the tick tock. Whatever. I am still...

A&A - average Iver Timewalker - average War Mother - average Delinquents - average Immortal Brothers - instantly forgettable Generation Zero - sub par Psi Lords - an abomination :? Wow, I could not disagree more. Van Lente is one of my favorite Valiant writers, especially when he's working on t...

Re: Question about collecting Solar, and guest appearances.
Chaos Effect Epilogue Chaos Effect Do you think Chaos Effect is crucial to Solar's story? I read through it a couple years back, and remember every series being pretty disconnected. Magnus the Robot Fighter 6 How is this one? PSI Lords 3 Is this with Destroyer? Does he play an important role in Psi...

Question about collecting Solar, and guest appearances.
I'm very close to finally finishing up my VH1 Solar run, but I'm worried that I'm missing out on crucial guest appearances or team-ups. I already own the entirety of Unity, Secret Weapons #1-2, Detroyer #0, and Chaos Effect Alpha and Omega. Is there anything else I need to be looking out for? EDIT: ...

Re: Alien making the same mistake as DMG
Is Alien Books already falling behind schedule? It's hard to find release dates for the books now that they're no longer on Amazon (any info on that?) but according to The Forbidden Planet both Britannia: The Great Fire of Rome and Livewire & the Secret Weapons one-shots have been delayed to Ap...

Re: What are your MUST-READ Valiant stories?
Here's mine: 8. The Valiant Major problem with this as it contains one of the biggest mis-steps of VEI IMO. Issue #3 is a throwaway meeting of all of the VEI character for some nonsense battle. This effectively robbed us of a ton of ‘first meeting’ storyline between all of the characters….and it wa...

Re: Magnus: Steel Nation better than Solar: Alpha and Omega?
Imo Magnus 1-4 ain't got sh!t on Solar 1-10. They're both damn good, but Solar has this timeless, "epic" quality, that I have rarely seen replicated, and an awesome, unique gimmick with the Alpha & Omega inserts. Steel Nation, in comparison, is just a very well-told, fun cyber punk sto...

Re: Alien making the same mistake as DMG
Mini-series don't bother me, but it would be cool to see dual numbering to acknowledge the ongoing series. Like X-O Invictus #1 would also be #5 on the inside cover if it continues from Unconquered or #89 or whatever it is from the start of the vei reboot. This seems like an elegant solution to the...
