Re: Harbinger Wars II #4
This is worse than Dead Drop. Atleast Dead Drop doesn't really matter that much, this however was supposed to be Valiants big Event in 2018. All it did was to show an absurdly powerful Livewire, that doesn't act like the Livewire we knew before. Well she isn't the only one acting out of character ...

Re: 5 years!!!!
I think the biggest low point of VEI has been the whole The Legend of the Geomancer Thing, not because it was a bad story, but because it wasn't available for everyone. Putting out a story that was not purchassable for potential buyers was just plain stupid.

Re: Wrath of the Eternal Warrior #8 Discussion
I wonder how time works when Gilad is dead. Since Gilad was in such a hurry, does that mean that time is the same in death as it is in life? I guess so, otherwise it wouldn't make sense for him to hurry so much.

Real stuck on this one. A phalanx? That's ancient Macedonian/Greek...not a Roman strategy as far as I recall...which would be the appropriate group for an historical "Britannia" involving a Roman Legion v. Native Brits.

Please, Valiant, if you're going to go with Putin as a villain, you have to go all the way with it:

Re: DC with the Valiant's leadership team
YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG!
DC has to look at what brings the big bugs.
If DC would only publish 8 books a month the books would be:
1. Batman
2. Harley Quinn
3. Justice League
4. A Batman Weekly
6. Superman
7. Green Lantern
8. and of course the obligatory event

Wow. The integrity of an online poll has been sullied...unimaginable.
Umm, it's not rigging the vote if fans are rallying other fans to vote. That's called advertising. Maybe I'd have visited their website before today if they did a better job of that themselves.

Re: November 2015 Sales Discussion
I think the reason Imperium isn't catching on with a lot of readers is because it's not enough like a generic superhero book to catch the attention of the big superhero crowd and not indie enough for the typical indie comic crowd.
That would be my guess.

Re: Bloodshot Reborn 2016 Annual #1 Announced
I hate Annual issues. Just a way to make a quick buck of a story we could have gotten in one or two regular issues. It also ruins the numbering... a number one issue between a number eleven and twelve issue, or whatever.

Re: Weird that comics are not a bigger deal across the world
Wouldn't the costs go down if people would be buying much more comics? Instead 100000 being the top number it would be 500000 for a comic?
With inflation, I think it would already be a good thing if the prices stays the same for quite some time.

Re: Weird that comics are not a bigger deal across the world
Why wouldn't people latch onto comics more considering how much cheaper are compared to moves and neat looking tv series?
I would say comics are more expansive. You can get the DVD of a movie for 5 to 10 euro and it will take more than an hour to watch it. A standard trade costs 12 to 20 euro and ...

All this means is we need more controversy.
Maybe we should all weigh in on the theory that Jar Jar was actually the Phantom Menace, and a manipulator during the entire Star Wars prequel trilogy. :hm:

Re: The anticlimatic ending in Valiant titles
You can lump the ending to Divinity's arc in there as well.
It's not necessarily that the final disposition to BoD isn't consequential enough, just that the final conflict seems restrained. I mean, Gilad is dead, Tama has collected David's power and Darque is imprisoned in a tree. Consequential ...

I don't get the hype around Fiona Staples. She is good but not really something that sticks out.
I would be inclined to say that she didn't add that much to Saga. Clayton Crains art defined Rai for me. When I think about Saga, a bunch of artists could do what Fiona Staples does but with Rai I think ...

A part of this issue was a huge time waste. Spylocke fighting in the arena was *SQUEE* pointless. Father wants to kill him publicly. Okay. Do it and prodcast it live all over New Japan.
