I am absolutely loving these Rai backstories, they're so brutal and sad.

Loved this one, the spreads with the book pages and the time skipping looked good (latter was very Chris Ware), and I really liked the philosophical aspects of the fight

I think this was a good compromise between dead is dead and continuing the characters' legacy, I think its clear that they don't want Rai to be future-bloodshot. (I liked the little joke about that though)

this arc had nice art and the cameos were fun but at the end of the day we all predicted the ending based on issue 1 alone and from then on the next 3 months were kind of a slog. I think this story could have been a lot more.

I would only call harbinger wars, armor hunters, book of death and 4001 events. I think valiant definitely bills The Valiant, Divinity and similar minis as event series but in my mind they arent events because they dont have tie-in issues. Imperium had photos amongst the art even back when it was harbinger omegas if i remember correctly, even my profile picture has a photo background. The newest issue had a lot more than usual though and looked much worse, i think some of the backgrounds were even cheap 3d models but i cant say for sure

I think this is a good comic, the first issue wasn't what I wanted but at this point I'm really enjoying it. The art is great and the story is fun with enough character to be compelling and not just silly. It's no FVL but it's a worthy successor.

when you think about it Rai piloting X-O against the dragon city is basically a re-enactment of Ninjak piloting Gin-Gr against the normal city, it's weird how he's sometimes more like a ninjak 4001 character than a bloodshot
