Re: Interview with Bart Sears

These interviews are great. They always give some unique insights and perspectives of how things were back in the 90s with Valiant. Please keep it up.

In due time, it would also be interesting to eventually do the same type of interviews with the VEI creative stars. Maybe Southern Comics Guy could ...

Honestly, I'm more surprised that IDW is still in business. :o

Heh.

I'm good with IDW doing VALIANT via Alien. It could be good. IDW does make high quality comics, no? I mean in terms of production values and such.

And, who knows, maybe someone in Hollywood is looking and this could be ...

Re: Interview with Bob Layton

That was a fun watch. Thanks for posting.

It is interesting to hear the way everyone interacted during VH1. Such as, Bob Layton bringing Barry-Windsor-Smith onboard (even though BWS did not want to work directly with Shooter). And… how Layton and BWS basically wrote Archer & Armstrong while rooming ...

Is this the most expensive store variant? This is bananas to me. What am I missing? Poor Veregge passed away last year (my age). I’m not seeing why two people would bid this one up.

Great collectible. I remember seeing one of these up on EBay for months (before VEI began, so probably the mid-2000s). They were axe-ing $4,999.99. I don’t know what the going rate is…. but, I hope you paid less.

Theebaldmoose was a great addition to this board. I remember him always being helpful. Also,I believe he won the last Fantasy Football League run through this message board in 2018. RIP.

Is there any info on the cause of his passing? (Was he sick?).

3 out of 4 ain’t bad nycjadie. Yeah, Frank Miller sigs will break the bank. I’ve gotten EW #1 gold and gold flat sigs from CGC. But, it is tough to keep going because of his high signing fee. Here is my BWS signature. If someone is wanting a BWS signature, I believe a signed a bunch of Rune comics for Dynamic Forces back in the day

Nice all black signatures and placement on that gold A&A. This looks to match the “old style” sig from the early 90s. That is one of my favorite BWS ...

Re: Auction Hall of Wow and Disbelief!

As you mentioned….Maybe #15 1:20 is more scarce because it is the last 1:20 variant in this 16 issue Shadowman series. It just seems odd that it is selling for as much as rare key VEI comics.

Re: Could Phil Seleski, Jack Boniface, and Master Darque Have Been Harbingers?

I guess you could make the case that everyone in VH1 is a Harbinger. I don’t believe that the creators of the Valiant Universe intended for everyone with powers to be Harbingers…. but, that would make for a shocking twist at this late date.

Interesting thought MOTA.
