Re: Should I read these next ....
A&A had it's moments. What kept me interested was the fact that it largely focused on Armstrong. It built a bit more of his personality and motivations. The art was hard to look at (for me). But I think if this same story had been published with similar art to the original series, it would've b...

Re: Secret Weapons #4 Discussion
Yeah, there did seem to be urgency but my understanding was that he couldn't go back to him 'human form' because he didn't have enough air to swim 40ft to the top. I think there should be a limit to how long he can stay in statue form though, maybe there is but we just haven't found it yet. Well, I...

Some discussion about Ninjak vs. over on the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ValiantComicsFanGroup/permalink/1679580342072346/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I don't understand the Sony legal speculation in these comments. VEI did a panel about Ninja Vs, bu...

Re: Shadowman / Rae Sremmurd #1
From the sound of things, this is in continuity? That was the one thing really holding me back... that and I have no clue who Rae Slumberbed are. I see no reason to think it's not in continuity, and I'm not sure any of us know who Rae are, it doesn't really matter because the book tells you what yo...

Re: Shadowman / Rae Sremmurd #1
This was done really well, it was easy to dismiss as *SQUEE* so I'm glad they nailed it. I enjoyed the story a lot, relating Jack, Robert Johnson and Rae actually worked and made a lot of sense. I could see this issue happening without Rae being involved and VEI using a fictionalized version of them...

Re: Faith & The Future Force #3 Discussion
I do have an issue with Rai telling Bloodshot to "check your six." Good point. Either Jodie has never read Rai or the person doing the word balloon doesn't know the difference between Rai and BS and it was supposed to be BS saying this? One other point I forgot in my previous post ... the...

I do have an issue with Rai telling Bloodshot to "check your six." I also didn't like the "check your six" line, I kind of just pretended it was Bloodshot and ignored it. Ank calling out the similarities of the Do-Bot to her... so was it from some alternative reality that we saw...

Re: Secret Weapons #4 Discussion
I hope Rex-O isn't actually dead, more like reprogrammed like GIN-GR, if he is a alien/machine thing with random psiot powers that Livewire can reprogram then he could be a pretty good weapon/tool stil l. If Livewire reprogrammed him to be on her side she could even do things like Psiot blood drive...

I suspect they must be drawing a connection between the two by debuting them (pretty much) only a week apart. I'd guess Montana contains some remnant Omen technology from whatever created Rampage.pixierosa wrote:The "new" Ana reminds me of Rampage.

I loved this series, art and writing wise it was a home run. I really hope we get this creative team doing more work asap. This is probably my favorite Valiant book in the last year or two. Such good new! I hope he gets to write those other zero issues he talks about, and I really hope he gets to do an ongoing to Livewire. I know it's only been 3 issues (that I've gotten) but I really hope Heisserer stays around and deeply involved for a long time. The idea of him co-writing HW2 with K...

Re: So about Shadowman......
I dont care one way or the other about the ropes, but i very much prefer the Magpie look to the original Shadowman look. I think it fits a supernatural character better, maybe the old look was better for a street level hero, but it's obviously not what they are going to do with him. I was never a fa...

Question...the guy with the 4 arms, at the start of issue 3 flashback he seemed to only have 2 arms, when did the extra arms kick in? I wondered the same thing, I'm not sure if it's an art goof or not. When the flashback starts he says something like he was exiled for being a freak. At the beginnin...

Re: Harbinger Renegade
I defended it up through #5, but I can't anymore it's just not good. I give it a D, it's my least favorite of the current titles. If Dysart had finished his story and this was just the next thing for Harbinger I'd be fine with just not caring. Like A&A wasn't very good but I didn't care because ...

Re: Rapture #4 discussion
I liked this and where it went story wise with Shadowman. I think ignoring the past issues is a pitfall for other companies, *SQUEE* happened in his solo books and not dealing with the consequences is bad storytelling. I also agree this really is a Geomancer book but I don't care how they billed it ...

Who was the guy in the suit they recruited? Looks like Neville Alcott (MI-6) I thought it was Neville too, but I couldn't think of any reason he would be in a fight, he doesn't go on missions he just doles them out... Now that Divinty 0 revealed that Aric out if place on Gorin I do want to throw out one half-formed theory I've considered on and off. So Divinity is shown several times to have grown up on pulp sci-fi, the turning pages stuff from volume 1, and again in the 0 issue. Pulpy fantasy science fiction is ...

I don't know, he's 1600 years old and from a dead culture. I don't see any reason to expect him to have any personal views about sex, marriage, or monogamy that would align with our modern "western values". I'd agree excepting the big western wedding they made out of issue #38 of the 2012...

Good issue, I'm more than ready for a large scale XO battle. 3. The relationship with Schon feels false. With Aric's extreme sense of honor, I don't see him violating his vows with his prior wife. Even though he's distant and Schon is obviously wishing he'd care about her and she knows he doesn't --...

...Whatever Pioneer is guarding I don't think it's the Alpha. In her story in the Gulag backup it says her people guard some ancient thing from the Deadside. I'd think it more likely that whatever she guards would be tied into Rapture or the upcoming Shadowman... Interesting, something I never pick...
