"Isn't this Persephone somehow the result of Deadside gets (stupidly) personified from the last Shadowman run?"

Yep

Re: Armorclads #1 (2022)

It was an interesting read. Felt super derivative, but interesting and coherent, which is more than I can say for anything other than Rai in the last 2-3 years. I have actually enjoyed Shadowman as well, but I'm only up to issue #4. I was thinking of dropping this title because I was not impressed ...

Re: XO ManOwar #7 2021

I thought this was a decent issue. Story does a full turn. Pretty much what I though about the rich guy. Art was a little confusing what was going on. I think more bubbles explanation should be used. Or back story pages. I won't get into specifics because I don't wan a ruin it for anyone. I need to...

Re: Ninjak (2021) #4

I have this on my standing order and will continue to buy it, only because i have every issues VEI has produced, but i've stopped reading it after issue 2. The art work is just so distracting for me and it pulls me out of the story. The first issue seemed engaging enough, but i couldn't finish the ...

Re: Bloodshot 9 Discussion

"I read it. Because I have read every other Valiant issue from the last 29 years and for no other reason." Same boat. Rai, however, is very good. Although I wonder if I think that just because the rest of what's left are so bad. Because of nastalgia is no reason to be suckered into buying...

Bloodshot 9 Discussion

Anyone else read this?

The art is pretty cool, but I have a difficult time following the story. The COVID break did not help. I feel like I need to re-read it to better try to understand, but I don't want to.

Rai is the only light shining right now, and it's a bright one. I got the Pre-Order version with the Don Perlin cover.

Re: Doctor Tomorrow #5 Discussion

It wasn't a bad little series. I think one of it's massive flaws is that it asks me to believe that this is a big cohesive universe where all these heroes would team up to fight a bad guy. I haven't believed that about this universe for years. It was definitely better than the later Livewire issues...

Maybe I have read way too many Valiant comics way too often and it's backfiring now.
I really wanted to like this series. I agree with backfiring; the quality has just dropped off so much (with the exception of Rai, IMO) that it's kind of depressing to read now.

Man I hope not, but yeah so far underwhelming. Levitz is pretty good at telling a drawn-out story, but this one is not moving.

Very much enjoying it as well. I wonder if we'll be seeing Armstrong, Ivar, or another time traveler. Possibly a Shadowman of the era?

I agree; man I hope it's done well. Harbinger has been my favorite Valiant title since the 90's.

I'm assuming this is it....

Harbinger Movie

I saw this blurb in a Valiant Entertainment email. It has a "link to the press release" that goes to the wrong place. HARBINGER HEADS TO HOLLYWOOD Valiant Entertainment's parent company, DMG Entertainment, announced Valiant's big plans, including a brand-new office in New York, video games...

Re: The Visitor Status?

Just read this in ComicWatch: CW: There were quite a few titles announced earlier this year with no release dates attached. We’ve gotten some great looks at the new Ninjak series recently, but can you tell us when we might expect more details on some of the others such as Final Witness, The Visitor ...

Re: The Visitor Status?

How on earth did you get hold of Visitor 5 and 6? 4 is the last one I saw.

I bet what we had here was failure to communicate. By "outstanding" you probably meant "still undetermined" whereas I took it to mean, "Man those were great!" LOL

The Visitor Status?

I know Valiant is barely trickling out now, but this is one I have not seen since March at least, I think. Did it get cancelled?

I'm re-reading old Levitz Legion comics now; he could certainly spin a good long-term story.
