If the package wasn't insured, I guess you lucked out.

There's not much you can do about it and since you believe that the seller is telling the truth, I suppose it would be best to forget about the whole thing.

And since we're talking about lost packages.. ckb, where is my Solar Hardcover? :x :x ...

It's actually the original comic. However, what I got was a comic that had water damage, multiple tears, and severely stressed spine, filthy dirty and a smell of acidity. Probably 2.0 or lower on a good day. I emailed asking for a refund because I was unhappy with the product ...

I won't go as far as to say that you got the wrong comic, but given the seller's not so great feedback, his obvious limited knowledge of comic books, the fact that there's no picture and the extremely vague (but annoyingly enthusiastic) description...

I'd say you got a POS VG-FN X-Men #129 :P

For the Alpha & Omega Hardcover, I'd say you got a good deal. With the description you gave I'd say $20 is about right (maybe a bit low, even).

Now, $5 for the Rai Blue TPB is an excellent deal. Buy it! 8)

Magnus #1, right on the day it came out!

(Actually, it was probably two weeks later, since I live in Greece and the books take about that much time to get here) :(

Hey, I have this one :)

Actually I have #2 as well. Both came in a big Valiant mystery lot that I got on ebay 3-4 years ago. It's kinda crappy really. Pretty amateurish stuff.

It definitely has nothing to do with the Valiant Comics we love. I think the publisher had it's base somewhere in ...

I collect comics, man...just comics.

I can't help it. I used to collect fantasy art trading cards, action figures, Star Trek paraphernalia, classic first edition books, soda bottles, stamps, cigarette packs and many other things from time to time, but to be honest, I've kinda put everything else ...

The 'Nam is a great series. Especially the first 10-15 issues with gorgeous art by Mike Golden. I probably need ab out 6-10 issues to complete the run and I'm positive that I haven't paid more than a buck for any of them.

And Brother J, I'm glad that someone besides me remembers Crossfire. An ...

It was written by Jeff Mariotte with great art by Joe Phillips. One of the funnest (and funniest) stories I've ever read.

My three favorite titles:

1) Magnus
2) Solar
3) Psi-Lords

Actually I'm kidding about the last one. My third favorite title is probably Turok. Great artwork through the whole run.

Oh, yeah. I remember those. Some issues were pretty good, but some were too short to make any impact on me. The first story arc was pretty good, #3 I didn't like, #4 was alright, #5 was good and #6 was a disappointing conclusion to #5.

What were your favorite issues? [/size]

The Arcudi/Frank issues of Gen13 were great. Fun, clever stories and great art. Highly recommended.

I also recommend almost any issue of Gen13 Bootleg, an ongoing series where each 2 or 3 issue story arc was done by a different creative team. Most stories were really good. You can probably find any ...

There were 2 comics I would put on the list. Both by Malibu

The biggest amount of "real money" I've paid for a Valiant was for the Alpha & Omega Hardcover I got from ckb a couple of weeks ago (it still hasn't arrived - international shipping is a b*tch!). I won't say how much I paid since I'm not sure he wants me to disclose that info.

Now if we count ...

As far as I can remember, Robin II #1 is the first hologram cover. It was marketed as such and for years it has been considered the first.

Overstreet doesn't make any special note of the fact though (as in "first hologram cover" or something), but it's doubtful that they would note it anyway.

And ...
