Art for sale including Green Lama pages!
For those interested in buying comic art, this guy has hit some serious financial problems and is selling his art off to get much needed funds. He's got really amazing looking pages in there, including a couple Green Lama comics!

Can't download Marvel's AR App
Just got my first smartphone today and tried downloading Marvel's AR app (which claims to be good for Andriod 2.2 and up) but it keeps telling me my Boost Mobile Kyrocera Hydro C5170 (which runs on Andriod 4.0) is incompatible. Any ideas what's going on?

I bought a copy last week when I saw it on the shelves. I thought this comic was going to have art contributions from each original creator of the independent characters....

I'm not saying this is a lock, but it sounds fairly promising. Just read the entire thread.

Re: Gold Key characters in 2012 thread
Only thing I have seen online is that the Archive Editions will be continuing in 2012, but no new stories forthcoming. :(
There are rumblings of new stories in 2012 without big Jim.
From where? I searched online - Dark Horse forums - Dark Key forums - Bleeding Cool and other sites. :?

Big Jim had these comments on his blog, after being critical of Marvel and DC leadership he went out of his way to be diplomatic in regards to DH leadership----

Re: Will you read this line if it's relaunched without Shoot
Will I don't think there's any reason to think Dark Horse would continue without Shooter. It wouldn't make any sense. Since work has aready been done on issues in the next plotlines (plot synopsis and covers for most of the titles and some interior art was completed on the next Magnus storyline), if ...

Just checked my DCBS order and I have credits for Doctor Solar #9 and #10. I guess #8 really was the last issue
That's no surprise the editor indicated there'd be a hiatus between the current plotlines and what comes next, so it makes sense for them to cancel the rest of the issues until ...

Re: Dr Solar #8
Got both Solar 8 and Turok 3. Loved both of them to death even if Turok took a hit on the art because they had replacement artist doing a rush job (still looks decent, all things considered, love to see what the artist could do a normal day). The ending for Solar was great, it's just awesome seeing ...

Re: BPRD
When I look up BPRD, I get a little confused. Is it just a sequence of mini-series? It doesn't seem like there is an ongoing series.
I see this list of mini-series, are they all part of the "sequence" of this series, or are some just kinda random?

Oh goody.
Loeb who hasn't written half-way decent book since Superman/Batman #26 is writing an event about Cable, a time traveling mutant, a character that I have never cared for, taking on Captian America and the Avengers in what seems like a rip-off of Flashpoint which was a bad idea to begin ...

Re: BPRD
I liked BPRD when they started the minis (BPRD: Hollow Earth) and it hit a really amazing high point with "Garden of Souls" but I'm starting to get diminishing returns on the series. The ending of "King of Fear" and all of the first "Hell on Earth" mini left me less than impressed. I'm switching ...

Re: BPRD
Didn't HB die recently? :?
Yeah something like that. Of course he "died" in "The Island" too. It's a title about the supernatural. Half the cast/villians are dead or have been dead. The next mini is "Hellboy in Hell" or something like that coming next year with art (finally!) by Mike Mignola.

Re: Dark Horse Gold Key Release Dates
New artists aren't a surprise since they're trying to get the books to come out, I'm just shocked they didn't dump all the artists 8 months ago when it was becoming obvious they couldn't get the comics out on anywhere near the "every six week schedule" the books were on.

Turok #3 is solicited for next week with #4 scheduled for just a few weeks later. That doesn't even seem possible. I hope the art doesn't take too big a hit. So by October 5 all the current plotlines will be wrapped up and we'll have to wait to see what (if any) new books get solicited starting ...

Savant beat me to the punch on Grant Morrison pointing out to them that they misread the panel and their WILL BE NO BOYCOTT. Told you they'd change their mind.

Re: North Carolina Comic Shop To Boycott Action Comics
What's funny is Morrison likely wasn't having the "GD" stand for "*SQUEE*," but rather as a grunting noise from being hit.
After thinking about it, I think you're 100% right.
I think there's a 0% chance it was anything other than a sound someone makes when they get hit because...

Does he still sell X-Men?
Wolverine's cameo in the First Class movie wasn't exactly the most Christian thing ever uttered... and he didn't just use the initials.

I haven't been to Comic Conspiracy in years. It's a good shop that's always been run by folks who are in it for the love of comics and will cut you a good deal.
