Re: VH 1: The End
There is nothing in those pages that prevents the Bloodshot that dies in 2028 from being anyone other than Angelo Mortalli. The alternative is to come up with a convoluted explanation for why and how he survived the explosion in Bloodshot #51, which isn't really that necessary. It be better to have...

Re: VH 1: The End
Why is it that my suggestion that the Bloodshot that dies in Rai #0 is a new bearer of the Blood of Heroes and not Angelo Mortalli in order to not retcon Bloodshot #51 drew a heated response, but my suggestion that the Solar from Rai #0 and Magnus/Rai that died fighting the Spider-Aliens is a dupli...

Video Game Crossovers
Once upon a time, Acclaim announced a crossover between Turok and their Forsaken video game that never came out. In that vein, what video games would it be cool to see the VALIANT characters crossover with? For instance, which VALIANT character might be a good fit with Lara Croft? Quantum and Woody ...

Re: VH 1: The End
Not at all, lol. I'm merely including Bloodshot #51 into the events of Rai #0, which when was conceived didn't anticipate what happened in #51. The goal is to address everything that happened into canon, not pretend it didn't. That includes X-O Manowar #68. Cool, I'm glad you're finally seeing that...

Re: Universal Monsters
There's the version of such clashes in which the Universal monsters are fictional and the one in which they are real. In the former, Armstrong knew Stoker, Shelley, etc, and inserted himself into the origins of their fictional creations. He'd regale Archer with stories about how he was there at Byro...

Re: Universal Monsters
I could totally see the VEI versions of Archer & Armstrong doing an entire series with them meeting the different Universal monsters in the style of the old Abbott and Costello comedies.

Universal Monsters
What would it be like if the VALIANT characters encountered the literary versions of the Universal monsters that are in the public domain? Bloodshot vs Frankenstein's monster is a no-brainer. Shadowman vs Dracula would evoke the VH 1 version's encounter with Lydia the Spider-Alien. What other combin...

Re: VH 1: The End
How am I doing so far? That's why I reacted. Of course I think about the general continuity when I read them, but not every single odd story that specifically needs explaining. Like XO 68. So I can just answer in that general sense that you are doing well. /Magnus I do think those last three issues...

Re: VH 1: The End
But why? There's no reason for that given in the books. As sci-fi, it's dumb. Replicating technology is not that simple. To create it from scratch they'd need the research, and to reverse-engineer it they'd need the Blood of Heroes itself to study it. They had neither. Sure, the Bloodshot that's in...

Re: Bad Idea books in the VALIANT published issues section?
Would it not be more accurate to simply create a Bad Idea section for issue reviews/discussions etc, and separate them out from the ''VALIANT Published Issues Discussions' section ? Bad Idea is not VALIANT. They may be VEI alumni, but is is its own set of things right? It's what would be done for B...

Re: VH 1: The End
So in 2000 years of robotics technology advancements, including widespread space travel, they can't replicate a 90's technology of putting nanomachines in the bloodsteam? K, that's fine if it works for you but there's no in-story explanation that makes it work for me. But I accept it as 'comic book...

Re: VH 1: The End
What if, in order to accommodate the ending of Bloodshot #51 into Rai #0 it turned out that Angelo did die at the end of the former and the Bloodshot that dies in the latter was someone else, one of these other heroes? Except that we see the Angelo Mortalli Bloodshot die in Rai 0. You're the one wh...

Re: VH 1: The End
The nanites were made in Japan, heh. And? In 4000 Japan is a gigantic computer filled with robots, you're telling me they couldn't replicate nanomachines from the 90's? What I was humorously saying is that the reason they existed in the '90s is because they were made in Japan. Why they couldn't be ...

Re: VH 1: The End
The one that always gets me is how did scientists in the early 90s develop a nanotechnology that was so advanced that it's somehow still so cutting edge and valuable 2000 years later in a society of super high-tech robotics? What makes that a little more believable is that it wasn't just the techno...

Re: VH 1: The End
A commonly-asked question back in the day was why was Bloodshot's blood called the Blood of Heroes BEFORE it was injected into anyone other than Angelo Mortalli? Who were these other heroes supposed to be? What if, in order to accommodate the ending of Bloodshot #51 into Rai #0 it turned out that A...

Bloodshot, 64-page one-shot. It is the year 2028, and, as the Harbinger Wars rage on, robotics and computers are the only defense against Harada's mental powers. At the onset of the war, the resistance commandeered an abandoned Spider-Alien base located on the dark side of Earth's Moon to use as the...

Re: VH 1 Geomancer
Not sure the Lost Land would be required. Its only purpose is to create a bridge between different eras. The Geomancers don't need that to fix the linear path of history. The Earth itself keeps them on that path. In my version it would. But hey we're all allowed to have our own versions of fantasy ...
