Im sure the next forthcoming comics boom will, once it ends, teach the exact same lessons to a new generation. Im also sure the dealers will fall into the same hype which forced the prices up back in Valiant's time.

I dont think any of these promos beat that Kiss comic from a few years back where the inked used actually contained some of their blood. Anyone remember the exact title?

Vandal the Hunter

OK, for some reason I was looking up all the trademarks that Valiant once had. The only one that didnt fit in (besides the renamed Star Watchers) was titled "Vandal the Hunter". Does anyone have any information on this? Was it ever used? Just wondering if it was a project that didnt get of...

Collections

Would it be out of the question if I suggested that a list, similar to the collector's inventories that used to be on this page, be made for personal collections of Valiant original art pieces? I think it would be fascinating to find out what pieces are in private hands, and what remains in a drawer...

This survey should be interesting. I guess what I remember seeing from the collections posted on this site were less than I remember.

I withdraw my opinion then. I know it took me a while to track them all down, but I had presumed a lot of the participants here had their collections since the original release. The hardest ones to find, I have found, are the last few issues of titles such as X-O, and Solar.

I have actually seen some Valiant art pages that are not prelims still in pencil, that were xeroxed, then inked. I dont think it was a common practice, but they do exist. I think it was just the artists preference not to get rid of their originals.

Its funny how the media still bugs him about SW. Id much rather mock him reguarding a clip of Comic Book the Movie I saw with him hitting up Matt Groening for an autograph. And its cool to see all the voice actors we are used to hearing in the flesh.

Many times the webpage editor will know exactly who to contact based on your questions. If they are nice they will forward your emails to someone capable of answering you. Just checkout the Acclaim site.

I think most of us who post here have a complete set of the regular VH1 issues. But the VVSS issues just dont hold the same pull as collecting the golds. I may eventually break down and finish aquiring those, but until then I think Id score nice and low on the inventory list.

There are just to many copies of all these books that have not made it back out to the market yet..1.75 million copies of turok 1...I have said it before you could burn 100000 copies a day for a week and that book would still not be worth a dollar.... I remember reading a post in this forum from so...

At the height of Valiant's popularity, other companies were really getting into gimmicks and flooding the market with all sorts of things. Valiant books usually guaranteed a good story, which seems to be what readers like. Even now, readers can find issues in the quarter bins at local stores, and th...

I seem to remember reading in a magazine letter column a letter from one of the winners of a single books full run. I believe he said he traded most of them for other comics of the time. Im curious to, anyone on this board one of the winners?

What about company validated signature issues? Every previous signatured comic I had seen only had a convention certificate but not one directly issued from the publisher.

I seem to remember the grand prize being a complete set of Valiant comics up to that point, and some of the runner-up prizes being complete runs of a certain title.

Solar on TV

I posted this before the crash but... recently on a Tech TV show titled Nerd Nation, during a chat with an individual from Digital Chameleon, quick shots of Solar comics were shown on screen. While just a cameo, its still nice to know that some editor out there choose that over a near infinite amoun...
