Looks good! So this was your final contribution to the VH2 universe? I had wondered why you were the cover artist to issue #11 but not #12.

A good starting point would be to get some print run numbers. Rumors of massive quantities of the pre-VH1 books still prevail, so its probably true. I know they were mentioned in CBG, but how about in Previews?

I remember awhile back, someone I kept buying comics from online kept using Plasm issues as padding. :) I didnt mind though, free comics in readable condition with good stories are fine by me!

With so much detail towards the top of the piece, Id be more likely to guess that it was a poster of some sort rather than a potential cover. I also think the backstory mentioned for the character sounds interesting, it would be great to hear how much influence he would have had within all the titles.

While I have been collecting info on the common selling prices, they vary so much its not easy to come to some kind of average value. If anyone else has been price watching and has some ideas, please pass them along.

I seem to remember knowing that someone was going to die before that issue came out, and having all the primary characters on the cover helps prevent exact knowledge of whom that would be, so unless it was just a Torque 'thing' - the shoes probably were a giveaway.

I still have a CD with your page backed up from sometime in 2000. As one of only 2 Valiant pages I frequented at the time, it was and still is a good resource.

St Pierre Comic

Im sure others here have already seen this, but I thought it was interesting enough to mention. In the current issue of Entertainment Weekly, former Valiant artist Joe St. Pierre has drawn a Crocodile Hunter comic book which is bound in to the magazine. Its a pretty funny item to see, and free if yo...

Very nice. Is it inked over the pencils, or were they copied first and the copy inked over?

The Special Edition was supposedly the first. It even has a page describing a premiere show that was held where a comic was colored 'live' in front of an audience.

Good find, and good work pushing stores to carry more comics! I still see 3-5 packs of comics that include Spawn #1s and early Lee X-Men issues at local bookstores. I guess those titles were so overproduced they will yet be around for a long time.

I remember a statement by Kevin VanHook to the extent that his wife Carol had severe eyestrain following wearing the glasses for a prolonged period of time, necessary to properly paint the pages which featured that technology.
