Re: Discovering the Valiant (VEI TPB Reviews)

And my big package from Paradise came in today, which means I've got a zillion new TPBs to read :) . Eternal Warrior Vol 2 The book is set in 4001 and completely ignores issues #1-4, a bit oddly to continue via the same series. I liked the little girl who's GIlad's granddaughter apparently. I thoug...

He tried to transfer his energy into the current Rai before he got smashed by X-Eye (on the next page).
Thank you.

Re: Discovering the Valiant (VEI TPB Reviews)

Well then, I'd have to slow down at some point just because of $ and because that half-price books collection would dwindle. And so I did. Waiting on X-O vol 9 to get into my comic shop (not sure what's taking so long) as they had 10-13, so I'll be wrapping that up as soon as that arrives. For now,...

Junkyard Joe was a good read.
I picked that up but haven’t read it yet - looking forward to it though!

TMNT- The Last Ronin - Good comic for old time and new tmnt fans, since its a standalone who reads great by itself, no need to know anything about the turtles, except the very basics. Hate the constant delays, but i'm all in until it ends. I was all-in on this one but I couldn't keep up with the de...

I agree, his art on many Valiant covers brought many people to Valiant (including me). I also think his best work was in the 90s.

Re: Armorclads #1 (2022)

Thanks for the reviews. After reading Valiant's website the story seems to borrow some concepts from the Exosquad cartoon. It is worth reading issue by issue or waiting for the TPB?

Batman vs Bigby: Well I am two issues into the series, and it's not good. The villains origin has not been revealed, but Willingham does not write a convincing Batman. A few nice nods to some of the Fables universe, but overall it's not that great. If anyone else has picked it up, let me know your t...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Still reading and enjoying Birthright (sadly it's coming to an end), Savage Avengers featuring Conan continues to just be a fun read, and I just read Nocterra which was a really well done first issue. Nocterra had a glow in the dark cover which brought back some 90s nostalgia. I do need to find some...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Reading the Paul Dini Batman Omnibus. Excellent self contained stories that include enough to contribute to a larger story arc. So far the only bad issues are the ones which were part of the "Resurrection of Ras Al Ghul." It is very apparent how "forced" the crossover detracted f...
