they aren't rare signatures, so there's not much incentive to fake them. in fact, lots of people prefer to buy unsigned books when given the option.

it's a gold. edges are too clean to be platinum.

it reminds me of when kmart closed down a bunch of stores. they "liquidated" the stores by marking up prices 60%, then taking 30-40-50% off.

i don't think you're being unreasonable. there is a "spoiler" area, so my feeling is that if you feel the need to put "spoilers" in your title, you're probably posting it in the wrong forum.
