Re: Amassing My Complete Amazing Spider-Man Run

Good luck on the collection! I just sold my AF15 and ASM 1-700 collection about 3 years ago. I still miss it. It was a lot of money and work to put the collection together. It was the neatest thing I will have ever owned in my life.

Trade Paperback question

I have been thinking about switching over to trade paperbacks lately. Being a huge Spidey fan the whole Superior Spider-Man thing has really brought me down on the whole for comics. I actually considered stopping completely. As I get older I realize that I buy a comic, read it once, throw it in a ba...

Re: The Variant Madness

I posted a while back that the years of "no Valiant" gave many collectors a "completionist" mentality, which was do-able because there were no new comics coming out. When the new ones started coming out, many people (myself included) were still thinking "must get one of eve...

Re: The Variant Madness

I can appreciate the frustration with the variant covers. I was "complete" right up through month 4, then it started to slip. I was frustrated with it for about a week, then I decided that I needed to adjust my views on completion in order to save both my sanity and my checkbook. Very Tru...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

After catching up on all the new Valiant issues, Swamp Thing, and Animal Man I decided to re-read my She-Hulk collection. Starting with Savage She-Hulk of course. I'm only at #6 so far and it has been pretty tough to get into. Not one of the more well written Bronze age comics. I am looking forward...

Re: Valiant predictions. A 5 year window.

I just hope they don't go too crazy with the number of titles. I would love to get every issue they release but at some point my wallet wouldn't be able to handle it. Really want Rai and Eternal Warrior ongoings. I also hope to see a Harbinger movie within the next 5 years.

Re: The Variant Madness

I stopped with the variants after the #1 issues. I love the books but I can't justify buying the same exact book with different covers anymore. That money could be used to pick up different books or just for anything else. Now I can just pick up the DCBS bundle every month and get the issues for hal...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

For anyone who reads Hellboy and BPRD, can you give me some insight on how I would go about reading them? I know there are 12 Hellboy TPBs and 14 BPRD TPBs (at least from what I've seen). I assume those are all in the correct order by volume but is there a certain point where BPRD should be read be...

Anyone reading the current IDW TMNT ongoing? Thoughts?

I am wondering if I should give it a shot and pick up the TPBs. Was a huge Turtle fan in the 80s.

Re: Amazing Spider-Man 692 variants

To qualify for these sets, the LCS had to buy 150% the amount for #692 as they did for a previous ASM issue. I don't remember which one.

Re: Am I the only one who doesn't care about variant covers?

I was getting all the pullbox variants, and I had the two Harbinger #4 variants and two X-O #5 variants in my DCBS order but I decided I'm not going to chase any of them anymore. The #1 issues were ok but if they are going to keep going I'm not going to spend that kind of money. I removed the Harbin...

Of course as I make a post to complain I get the tracking number. I guess they just marked it as shipped on the 5th but actually printed the label today. Thanks for the help.

Re: For anyone that has bought from Comic Collector Live...

Do the sellers usually send you the tracking number when it has shipped? My books were marked shipped on the 5th and I have PM'd and emailed the seller for the tracking number but have had no response. Do they typically not give that info on CCL?

Re: For anyone that has bought from Comic Collector Live...

If you bought that stack from Brett, and the price is his trademark, though mine is usually a penny lower, then you'll be very happy. Indeed I did. That's good to hear. I am completing my She-Hulk collection and he had her full run with the FF for $.98 each. What is the link to your store there? I w...

Re: Marvel Now

The only thing I get from Marvel are the Spider-Man books just to keep my run in tact. I don't really care for anything they have been/are doing anymore. I'll always get any Moon Knight or She-Hulk books also, but I'm pretty sure I'm never trying anything new at Marvel going forward.
