According to CGC, if the writing is small and/or unobtrusive, the comic can grade up to a 9.8 - only 9.9's and 10.0's are not allowed to have writing or stamps on the cover.

the convention was yesterday in des moines, iowa. we had a pretty good show, did about $1750 in sales. sold a decent amount of older toys that have been collecting dust in our store for years. sold a lot of 20 cent dc books. unfortunately i didn't get a chance to check out the other dealers stuff. ...

Well, I now have a job, and a little time to save, as well as a (distant) relative that lives about 20 miles from San Diego that I could stay with - my chances of making this still aren't great, but they have improved! :hope: -slym Slym I hope you can make it I would love to have more members there...

Well, I only got sniped on ONE auction this morning, but overall I think I did OK - here's what I just won: Solar #7 for 99 cents Rai #1 for $6 (I have three of these now) Solar #1 for $3.24 (!!!) X-O Manowar #15 Pink x2 for $3.25 ... and a copy of Original Magnus #1 for 25 cents (why not, eh?) All ...

OK, whose leg do I have to hump to get some quality pre-Unity issues? They are either gone or WAYYY overpriced in my area, and there are not even many of the overpriced ones to be found! I am beginning to think you all here on the VF site have the majority of these issues hoarded away....... One sad...

I believe the term "*SQUEE*" started it's meteoric rise to popularity after it was used in Mike Judge's movie "Office Space."

I have a question - how do you ship a large amount of cards? And I mean specifics - boxed up loose, bag them together somehow in smaller groups and in another box, etc...??? I ask because I might do the same as rifft, as I have a large amount of comic cards as well that I no longer have any interest...
