Re: New Shadowman art frustration!

Digital art takes away a lot of character and little artistic nuances that makes art what it is. I personally cannot stand digitally colored books either. Yes, it's better in a way, but it also takes away from the feel of the art, so it's actually worse in other ways. Or maybe I'm just too old fashi...

Re: Rob Leifeld to take over pencils of XO!!!!!!

I saw the thread about Rob Leifeld and just had to post this. Just one of those urges. What I should have done is put in a link with that scary skull that suddenly pops at you, scaring the crap out of ya! Then it would have been a perfect prank!

Glad some of you liked it!

Is it really a spoiler if one such as myself had no intention of ever reading the book?

Re: Valiant Variants - Enough!

I just didn't buy any variants. I've got other stuff to spend my money on. I've bought 4 copies of X-O Manowar 1, one as a gift to Childres, and the others I kept. I do have to agree with Heath's posts. Having a rarer copy of XO 1 out there does take away a little of the specialness that comes with ...

I bought the last copy at my local Hastings in Russellville, Ar today. BTW: I like the story very much. I hope the 2nd issue is as dynamic as the 1st.

Re: DC Announces Before Watchmen

I wish I could say 'I could care less', but that's not true. A Rorschach series would be cool if done well. He was the only character I cared for. All the others could've jumped off a cliff for all I cared.

Re: Digital?

I actually prefer digital nowadays. Most times, it's actually easier to read, since you can zoom in on scenes and it really makes the artwork shine. A computer monitor is bigger than a comic book page.

Ditto! The 1st pic I saw looked a little too feminine, or at least pretty far from the Aric we all know and love. Hopefully, Dino will encourage these changes to the artist.

Re: So, what's wrong with the Constantine movie?

Never read any of the books. I treat anything Alan Moore does as if its radioactive waste and it's usually pretty close to it. Can't see how the character of Constantine could be any different. The movie: Loved it! Keanu did a great job in it. If it was that far off from Moore's creation, it's no w...

Re: North Carolina Comic Shop To Boycott Action Comics

Okay, got a chance to read the issue today and I realize it's just like Marvels Ultimates line, a revamp of the characters. Of course, I kinda knew that already, but I wasn't ready for that much of a drastic change. As for the panel in question, all I can say is 'huh'? I don't know what kind of soun...

Re: North Carolina Comic Shop To Boycott Action Comics

Whatever character Morrison is writing, it's not the one we grew up with. Not ignoring the faith debate, just mindful that may lead to TO - potentially. On this point about it not being the Superman we grew up with. Neither was Byrne's to those who read the character before that. Neither was the 50...

Re: North Carolina Comic Shop To Boycott Action Comics

Well, if GD was exactly what the owner thought it was, I'd say his reaction was just fine. I completely agree that Superman saying 'God D#$m' would've been totally out of character and inflammatory. Superman was raised by good, farm folk that are mostly Christian. If nothing else, he'd have respect...
