Re: A future for Future Comics?

I've been following them there as well and it's nice to see the renewed presence on there. Anyone missing any issues can order direct from Future on there. I just got 5 comics for a total of $14, including shipping. That's a great price.

Re: A future for Future Comics?

Excellent!

I'll likely place an order with them for the last remaining print issues I need in the next couple weeks. Try to get some momentum going.

Re: A future for Future Comics?

Collections of the material was actually the subject of my email to Skip. So, I share the same pipe dream. All I can say is to contact them regarding your interest. It's the only way it can possibly happen.

Re: Future Comics - Issue List

FYI, Future Comics has said on their Facebook page that they have for sale all regular issues and some variants for $2 each plus postage. In case anyone is still looking to plug some holes.

Re: A future for Future Comics?

Here's as much of an "update" as I can provide. I exchanged an email with Future Comics Publisher Skip Farrell in January. At that time, Skip told me there were no plans for more Future Comics material, but "never say never." Basically, if anything is to happen with Future, peopl...

Re: A future for Future Comics?

Starbrand, there's a link for Colony in my article. Thanks. Thanks Brian. Good to see you around. :thumb: I think the KS/crowd-funding approach may be a very good one - look at the success that some 'name' projects are having such as Liefeld's current Brigade KS. Hey, Leon! Good to see you as well. ...

A future for Future Comics?

I know you guys will appreciate this: I spoke to Bob Layton for a few minutes at Wizard World Philly yesterday about the status of Future Comics. While he said there are no current plans for the original concepts, new projects would be released under the banner, similar to "Colony" last ye...

I checked the other week and the DEADBEATS webcomic was still going. I don't know if they ever plan to collect the webcomic into a print trade, but that seems like the logical thing to do. I once suggested they should put their backissues on WOWIO after they stopped their print publications, but nev...

Strange isnt it that when i first looked at these they were just raggetty old poop, but upon closer inspection regardless of the timeframe they were produced i.e madness of the early nineties speculator stylee, they did put some thought into what they were doing and whilst the art isnt that great, ...

We know Bob Layton has been out to L.A. here recently, I 'assume' as an advisor on the next Iron Man movie, but maybe there is some interest in his Future Comics characters as well ? One can only hope. :hope: I kinda smack myself for adding Future Comics to my collection... this is one of the harde...

IIRC, they started using the Future characters before the publisher folded. Never actually saw it though.

Im in the West Coast so I'd have to call and send it in. I'd have to write a letter or e-mail just so someone actually checks it out, I remember hearing they throw all kinds of fan crap out! I don't know how this affects your collecting of the issues, but it looks like DC is publishing trades of the previous material. Looks like the first STATIC SHOCK is getting a new printing in the latest solicits.

Flipping through the Dollar Bin, I came across a Triumphant issue and it was such a part of the speculators craze that I had to pick it up. Since each Triumphant issue appears to be individually numbered, I can tell you I got #1654 of 18,000 of DOCTOR CHAOS #4. This is a signed by the co-creators Li...
