Emerald City Comic Con 2012
Well, this event was last weekend and it was my first comic convention ever! I had a blast and it has totally helped renew my love of comics :) I'm glad school is almost finished so that I can be part of the working world again and start buying comics once more... kinda been on a 4 year or so hiatus...

Re: Something you helped fund:
Yes, this is the first real breakthrough (VX-770) in regards to treating the G551D mutation (about 4% of CF kids/adults have this mutation). There is also work being done on another mutation which I was going to learn about the week after next as I was invited out to the Leaders Working Group out i...

Our Relay for Life Team
Hi everyone! Relay for Life is quickly appearing on the horizon this year and I wanted to try to reach out and do some online fundraising again. I would like to share with all of you the story behind my wife's team, the Garden Gremlins. My wife's grandfather was an amazing man. He would always be th...

Re: Something you helped fund:
As a student nurse, that makes me SO happy to see that! We actually had a father of a CF child come speak to our class this quarter and you could tell he was an amazing man. Seeing the hope in his eyes when he was telling us about this new drug... that is DAMN good news!

Re: Read a Few Issues of X-O
Bloodhsot - read 1,3, 6, 9, 16 - not really my style from what I saw. It usually helps to start at #1 and then go to 2, 3, 4, etc. I'm not saying every title is for everyone (I don't care much for Magnus) but the 5 books you read have 5 very different story arcs. You've got his involvement with the...

Read a Few Issues of X-O
Well, I've been trying to decide what series to hunt down after Shadowman. I have a few scattered issues of several series, so I started reading. Harbinger was good, didn't care for Bloodshot from what I read. Then I decided to check out X-O Manowar. I am really liking what I've seen! I can see why ...

I collect toys... mainly GI Joes and random toy lines from the 80's :) Do you collect Dino Riders? Not right now... currently, I'm picking up the occasional He-Man figure and there are a few lines that if I see and have the cash, I try to grab like Visionaries, Spiral Zone, and Inhumanoids :) Event...
