I imagine it has to feel good to be able to break out so many copies of your favorites. Like having your own comic book shop.

The goal is to bring the Valiant characters to prominence. Comics are part of that plan (as we stated very early on). Publishing comics alone is not feasible. I don't hoard. But I have been curious about this practice as well and have been interested by the answers given here so far.

Valiant Solar and Gold Key/Dark Horse Solar are the same in name only. Presumably, you can have the Phil Seleski character, which is NOT the same as the Gold Key character, still in the Valiant Unverse. Just use a different name. I'd say option #1 is flawed, as Dark Horse won't be publishing Valiant characters. They'll be publishing characters once published by Valiant, but never owned by them.
