Re: The Devil's Thread: Matt Wagner's Grendel

I will say this though - my initial impression of a Grendel In Space story is one of some mild skepticism... I think it will end up being just as great as all the rest of the series has ever been, but it does seem like an odd choice to make a space opera out of a book largely grounded in a future ...

Re: What video game are you currently playing?

Done with the first Witcher. I took my time getting to this franchise, but after I read the short stories collections and the novels (read 7 books in 2 weeks or so), I was reaaaaaally curious about the games.

In terms of plot, this had one of the greatest twists I ever experienced, that with ...

Re: 20+ years of Valiant website... too frustrating?

I have to dare you, Greg- you have to find the time in your life to go and write a Valiant history book. Seriously, you are the guy who could do it, and we would kickstart the heck out of it.

Congrats on another awesome source for Valiant stuff. :thumb:

Dino buys company back for pennies on the dollar in a few years-my prediction.
That would be amazing. :cloud9:
+1!!!

Would love to see it happen. :hope:
Part of me really wonders whether Dinesh would want to become involved in Valiant again. By the time it ever (hypothetically) came up for ...

I am gonna try to map all of the Old World gamebooks in my next readings (thinking Vault or Shadow Warriors), so more to come. :thumb:

Alright, now I am even quoting myself. 8-)

And I did as I said. Yesterday I finished Vault of the Vampire and tonight it was Legend of the Shadow Warriors. Two ...

Re: The Gamebooks Thread

Tonight I ended up a string of 4 evenings dedicated to help the good people of Analand and go through 4 books in order to retrieve the Crown of Kings, a very special thing in my parts, apparently. In normal human language, I finished playing Sorcery! by Steve Jackson, and perfectly illustrated by GW ...

Re: Harbinger - Probably the greatest team book since...well

Its not only the best VEI (or all Valiant, honestly) series that I read but it is the one V book that made me feel stuff I never expected to feel while reading a comic made by a superhero publisher. Its bananas how much heart, smarts, bada**ery, epic confrontations, moral dilemmas, superb ...

Re: Harbinger - Probably the greatest team book since...well

Although reading this book as it came out was one of the best comic-book "experiences" I ever had... I do envy someone who is just starting to discover what gem Joshua Dysart did. Its just that good.

Its not only the best VEI (or all Valiant, honestly) series that I read but it is the one V book ...

Re: Comics series that took the longest time for you to fini

Naruto.

I started reading this back around 2007, and used to buy 5-ish books at a time from Amazon and read them on my lunch breaks at work. I read probably about the first 50 books, and when I quit that job to take up a degree I had neither the time or the money to spend on it, and I haven't got ...

Ok, as I said in the previous post, here's my final thoughts on YOU ARE THE HERO, the book on the story of FF books.
This belongs in the shelf of any fan of the genre, let alone FF. Its simply a must-have item.
Details/behind-the-scenes stuff related to the original line are on the hundreds ...

Quintuple post, and by now, I already start to feel like I'm talking to myself, guys and gals.
