A CGC 9.4 sold last year for $2k.
I actually offered him near the Low end of that range last year and thought it was a fair offer based on the books condition
Fair offer for a raw book of that scarcity. :thumb:

Re: Bloodshot 0 Platinum on Ebay

I think this book has been relisted every few months for almost a year. I think the fact that it's not graded and has some creasing on the spine and indentation on the back is why everyone seems a little tepid to jump in. At that price, I think most people want a 9.6 or 9.8. Great copy for people w...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

I picked up a stack of reader copies (in pretty decent shape) of the 1970s magazine format Savage Sword of Conan . Just got to issue #5 and wow, it's great stuff. Story by Roy Thomas (adapted from the Howard original) and b&w art by John Buscema. 55 pages of story, beautifully rendered! For only a ...

I wonder if there are a few of us that are responsible for a non-trivial number of graded Valiant books outside of pre-Unity, Unity and keys. Valiant has been a powerful niche market for probably 18 years now. If Bloodshot can get Valiant comics into the general discussion and then Harbinger turns ...

In the past year and a half I have gotten into the Akklaim issues, and have made it a point to sift thru dollar bins on travel trips. I just picked up Eternal Warrior: Immortal Enemy from the dollar bin! A month ago, I picked up the entire XO run. Heading back tomorrow with my list so if anyone is i...

Re: Timewalker #11

Need some help from the board here. I just read this in TPB (and enjoyed the series), but what storyline did this lead into? At the end of the last issue, there are numerous characters...so did this lead into an "event?" There was no direct event caused by this story line, though Faith and the Futu...

Re: Are we in the Post-Modern Age of Comics yet?

I didn't see this thread originally, but I've enjoyed the discussion. I think I agree that's easier to discuss the styles by decades instead of ages although I love names like Chromium Age or Plastic Age (CGC era). My preference for using decades may be because I've been reading the American Comic ...

Re: 100-PAGE GIANT COMICS FROM DC AT WALMART STORES

I'll come out and defend DC on this initiative. I was able to pick up three of the issues at the Wal-Mart near my in-laws. Very nice packaging (almost a prestige format). I've read the Batman issue, and was very pleased. Before each story there is a nice recap of the characters. The new story was en...

Re: What are the latest opinions on CGC grading?

I only mentioned a couple of issues I've had graded, but more was calling out imo where I've seen discrepancies in grading. For example, I have a Magnus Robot Fighter #5 that came back a 9.8 even though the spine was starting to split at top and bottom, but my Solar #3 came back at 9.6 that had no ...

Mighty Con was held here in New Orleans this weekend. Jim Shooter was here and I got him to sign the Alpha and Omega and 2d Death TPBs. Glad to see ancillary titles are still in the mix after the DMG takeover. Ryp was a big draw for me. Hopefully, the Eagles are lost in Britannia. My original post was a bit snarkier but I backed off. But it's idiotic to continue to call this Britannia if it doesn't actually take place there. ...
