Little known fact: a kilo of cocaine can be spread out and re-packaged to fit into CGC's largest & thickest magazine holder.

Seriously, WTBH??? Someone at the CGC shipping line smoking weed as they're packing up books? There is definitely more to this story!

Re: State of the comic book market
Joke's on you - I will never have kids, much less grandkids. No women will let me get near enough to them to ever do anything untoward enough for them to bear me children. Females are wary, cagey creatures with a great sense of self-awareness and danger. I have no chance in ever passing on my genes ...

I’d say it’s for a very specific audience. Worth the read, but it ended up being not anything like I thought it was in the beginning. I read it from the OG books. The end of the run SK had like, his own “classified” section in the back. I HIGHLY recommend reading THAT if you can. Crazy Agreed! The ...

Re: Are we in the Post-Modern Age of Comics yet?
Personally, I am more with Greg on this. This age is the modern age of comics. Not the "Modern Age", please note - no capital letters, no importance. The current age will always be the modern age of comics. I contend that as Greg notes, we just call them comics from the decade they were pr...

Re: State of the comic book market
Long time readers of the Big 2 are seriously getting tired and - in my case personally - old enough to see what this really is, but without the tainted lenses of nostalgia; nostalgia can drive one's hobby for a few years, but on the long term... :? I am a perfect example of this. I stopped collecti...

I also really liked Rai v.s Erica Pierce. It wasn't really much of a battle, but it always had me wondering, why was she so scared of the way Rai could move energy? He seemed like not too much of a threat, and AFAIK, it was never really explained further, so... that's why it was one of my fave VALIA...

If I haven't said it before, Wolverine v/s Silver Samurai in UXM #173.
An honorable mention right off the top of my head - Doomsday v/s everyone in the DC universe (just about). He laid waste to so many people before Supes put him down (sorta).

How-do. I haven't kept up with modern comics in a while now, but I ran across some from a few years back, and am wondering how they are doing now. Any of these hot/HTF now? I actually read a few TPBs the other day, hadn't even looked at anything comic-related in over a year! Went through all of the Sixth Gun TPB's, wondering of the (?) "Tales Of The Sixth Gun" ones are worth it. Prolly give them a shot. Then I read the first 6 East of West trades, hadn't read...

Now, now, it does say "attempt", and I for one applaud her. Diamond is basically a monopoly, and those are rarely (if ever) good for anyone except the monopoly.

Re: Gang, get ready for a fight
All it will take for VEI is a successful movie or TV series to produce big numbers for a book or several books. Look at Suicide Squad--that's now a major franchise and seller for DC after being a middling title for decades. Is the success of the Suicide Squad because of that incomprehensible mess o...
