I am SO done with PC... update driver here, need a better graphics card there, need even MORE ran now, will need a bigger hard drive later. And the fact that you need more anti-virus protection than ever just has me frustrated. Like now, I am SURE that I bought this beast with a 150 gig hard drive ...

Um.. I'm not too sure that pressing is resto, but it is a concern to many. It is not detectable, regardless. We need to remember that it's only human to want more bang for your buck and pressing is a way to get that. With no way to detect it, there's no deterrent to help stop it. On the bright side,...

I can't help but feel the possibility that CGC has hurt the hobby. I think that instead of spending money on books and helping the comic shops, comic collectors are now spending money on a 'guarantee'. A guarantee that a certain comic is of a certain quality. Though that guarantee can, at times, be...

I've always thought the comics code was a good thing. It forced writers and artist to tell their stories within certain bounds and made them use their imaginations to the fullest extent without using cheap vulgarity and violence to draw in readers. Sure there have been early stories published withou...

Bullsh!t indeed. Alan Moore is #1. He shouldn't have even made the top 1000. In my opinion, you cannot possibly be good at anything and hate what you are doing or hate the people you are doing it for. John. Buscema. He HATED drawing super heroes. True, but he was a true professional. And his art on...

Bullsh!t indeed. Alan Moore is #1. He shouldn't have even made the top 1000. He is the best writer. Period. I'll have to respectfully disagree with you there. Although many believe the his writing skills are top notch, I've never enjoyed a single storyline he's ever produced, despite his reputation...

Jack Kirby's style would not go well with Shooter. Shooter even made Barry Winsor-Smith tone down his art for Valiant, saying it was too dynamic or something.

I have to admit, Batman not killing anyone is my biggest problem with the character. Even Spider-man's been put to the brink where he was willing to kill the Green Goblin! No matter how many times Batman explains or makes excuses, or who wrote them, they are lame. The Joker has gotten out many, many...

Lex Luthor has no business being Superman's arch-nemesis. He's only human after all. I think Lex is a stupid enemy. The Leader is more probably, since the Hulk is much slower and the Leader has super-intelligence and real heavy technology. Nonetheless, the Hulk usually does kick his *SQUEE* pretty ...

But as I explained in the earlier post, that doesn't make any sense, so it really doesn't matter to me. That's just bad writing and character worship. I don't know why people can't seem to understand the implications of his super speed and senses to the degree of being able to move millions of time...

Are we trying to imagine superheroes in a realistic way? No, in a consistent way. Taking the given premises of the story and following them to their logical conclusion. But then we wouldn't have Batman. We'd have Iron Bat. And that would.. well, suck! Comics is my escape from reality, and should no...

Wait as sec.... Are we trying to imagine superheroes in a realistic way? Doesn't that kinda defeat the point? Comics is my escape from reality, and should not mirror it in any way except to make the characters more accessible to the reader. Therefore, realism can be very counterproductive to comics....

Because he's BATMAN!

That's what he does. Iron man's a pansy! Batman's got some anti-Iron Man thing in his belt because that's what BATMAN does! He carries things in this belt.

Cause he's BATMAN!
