They're both incredibly good reads. It's a coin toss. The tie-breaker will have to be who has the better costume. Hmm...wait...that makes it even tougher. :o

Amazing Spiderman McFarlane Years

Hey folks. Question for Spiderman collectors. I recently got my hands on Spiderman 298 to 300 (haven't read them as I'm afriad to drop them from near mint status). I used to collect back in the day, and have issues 323-350. My question is, is it worth it to get the missing issues (301 to 322)? Is th...

Too funny. I just ran across the promo poster for these spoof cards(see "Valiant Trading Cards" thread") today! The poster had Marvel and Image cards as well.... i.e. Childcats, X-Farse, etc. They're pretty funny. How the heck do I attach a pic?!?...haven't figured that one out yet......

Okay, I went over to my friends today. Random Era I cards, so nothing special there. However, I did get some Valiant posters from him. A few of them are pretty cool. Most of them are the types of ads/promos that comics shops would post in their store. None were ever used. Are any of these trade bait...

Too funny! Mon Ark's pose in that picture seriously reminds me of my Grandfather when he gets up out of his recliner for dinner.

They lost it for me around Chaos Effect. I just remember some BAD stories between Chaos and Birthquake. I remeber X-O (Wolfbridge Affair) and Hard Corps after Chaos...man those stunk compared to the earlier days.

Unity Red. No contest for me. I've always wanted this book. I remember that I saw it at a local comic shop back in the day for only $10...shesh...wish I would have got it.

Hopefully, he'll have some cool stuff. BTW, I justed checked out Sonic Dan's site on Valiant cards. Pretty nice site.

Valiant Trading Cards

Are any of the Valiant trading cards worth anything? Are any sets a must haves due to sheer coolness? The reason I ask is that I know somebody with a box of old Valiant trading cards and posters. I was going to go over and check them out, but wanted to get some feedback from the boards first. Thanks...

I really liked the Immortal Enemy in the early EW books. What ever happened to him later in the comics (past #20). Is he still around or did Gilad manage to take him out once and for all?

TRADE: Visitor Vs Valiant Universe #1 ($2.50) and Magnus #12

Hi all: I'm looking to trade these 2 books to fill out my missing pre-unity books. 1. Visitor Vs Valiant Universe #1 ($2.50 cover) - Great condition, I'd say VF++ (spine has no creases, VERY faint rub marks near staples). Looking for a Magnus #0 w/ card or a Rai #3 (I know, I'm probably dreaming). 2...

Amen borther. I only wanted to collect pre-Unity issues when I started up again (I never could get them back in the mid-90s due to price). Now I'm starting to look at all those later issues....I'm thinking up to Chaos Effect now....dare I go beyond?!?

stylistically, i liked the second version of Shanhara best...post underground hybernation. i just like the more simplistic version with the X on the chest. however, the first version was pretty cool as well, and i associate this armor to all those early great stories. i'm definitely not a fan of the...

I wouldn't be suprised that there are some VH2 issues better than VH1. I read the last X-O and Eternal Warrior issues...wow...those were painful. I heard Shadowman 43 wasn't so bad...still hunting for that one.

Stopped buying just before the Chaos affect. All the stories started losing what previously made them so special. I held out on X-O all the way through issue #35. That one sent me over the edge, and that was the last Valiant purchase until...this year!!! :-)
