There's a nasty troll on that Newsarama piece. I threw in my support.

I hope they do a "win an appearance as an extra contest". I will annihilate everyone for that chance.

I am excited and nervous about the movies. Mostly excited!

Re: Imperium #3

I assumed that the Vine were involved, but I found it interesting that it originated around the same time that Harada had his big face-off with Carter and the PRS. Made me wonder if they were involved at all. If the Vine infiltrated every other organization like they did MI6, stands to reason that t...

Rai #8

Overall, an enjoyable read. I think that Rai seemed out of character at times - and I know it's annoying for readers to tell a creator that their character isn't acting the way he's supposed to, but Rai does not tell multiple quips ala Peter Parker or Buffy Summers during battle. That humor is used ...

Re: Imperium #3

Best issue of the series so far! Excellent writing. Lots of interesting tidbits - like that seed from the 60s? Where did that come from - PRS? If so, how did they get it? Was PRS also infiltrated by Vine hybrids? Great character development. SOS is one of my favorite characters. Dysart is doing a gr...

Re: Rest In Peace **SPOILER**

Kay's death hit me harder than Flamingo's even though she had less story time. I liked how Kindt represented her, as being unsure of it all -- after all, she had no one to train her and no one who even remotely could tell her how it felt to have those particular abilities. She started out as a flake...

Re: The Valiant #4 Discussion

Our very own pixierosa submitted a great review over at Valiant Central: http://valiantcentral.com/review-the-valiant-4/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Thanks for the nod! "Guh" was my original response - I had the feeling Kay wouldn't survive, but it still hurt....

Re: Why is Harbinger/Imperium so 'awesome'?

I'd agree with what everyone else has said. His character development is outstanding, and it's characters that make readers care about a franchise. I'll add that I appreciate all of the little things he puts into the books to better define characters - things that are expressed through the art such ...

Re: Imperium #2 Discussion

Loved this book. Dysart does such a good job creating characters. Gravedog comes across as crass and less-than-intelligent when he's actually wily as a fox. Will be curious to see if he really believes in Harada's vision or if it's just a means to another end - his freedom. Nice to see PRS again and...

Re: Divinity #1 Discussion

I don't think he gains these powers after he crash lands back on earth, though it may be that is the point where he realizes that he is more than what he was. But it's safe to suffice that at the point he meets David, he is already well aware of his powers since he already has followers. The narrati...

Re: Divinity #1 Discussion

Makes you wonder how he got this ability. Initially I expected it to be due to some singular series of events that happened in space - a freak accident, but the Russian goal was to go to the limits of space and what the human mind can fathom. Maybe in doing so, in going beyond our reality plus the s...

Re: Divinity #1 Discussion

I thought it was great. Kindt is a skilled writer and employs subtle literary devices so his stories seem more sophisticated then some in the genre. Lots of biblical references and time themes. I wrote a blog piece discussing some of my thoughts over at Valiant Central: http://valiantcentral.com/gro...

Toys R Us Minimates

Hey all! I stopped in at the closest Toys R Us to me (100 miles away) to see if they had any of the new minimates in stock. Apparently some are available at store level but not on the website. Unfortunately, my store hasn't received any yet, but the helpful clerk gave me these details: The warehouse...

Re: Imperium #1 Discussion

Loved this book. Really good #1. As much as I thought I would miss the Harbinger team, they aren't necessary for this to be a compelling story. I do want them to return to the stage at some point. So many themes here. Dysart does not shy away from political statements. Despite the protagonist being ...

I caught that error, too, Hawk. Dan caught another one - in the last panel for Dead Hand, artist notes are visible in the fingers. Otherwise, though, pretty good story. Since they kept mentioning the wife so much in previous books, I figured she'd show up in the end. I'm glad Aric let Zahn live - he...

Re: What's in the Box?!?!?

It's not Vine because Livewire didn't recognize the tech. The original spot Bloodshot picked it up from looked like a crash site considering the way it looked "dumped" there. Neville's MI6 has been looking for it for a long time. PRS was also after it. Box can't be opened by any normal mea...

Re: Doctor Mirage #5

Another interesting plot point is the concept of "Doctor Mirage". Just who does that refer to -- Shan or Hwen? They're both doctors. Oftentimes in the text, the creatures will refer to "the Mirage", a sacrifice needing to be made, etc -- you can easily interchange the Mirages in ...

 I really love this series.

May seems a bit far off. 5 months is longer than usual on a trade wait. Could it be that they are planning on bundling something else with it? Like maybe an appearance of Mirage in another book? :hope:
