Re: DEFIANT Comics Holy Grail

Hey guys, quick question, is there much of a market on the uncut card sheets? I have 3 different uncut sheets.

There are 2 with base set cards, each containing different cards and the 3rd contains multiple sets of all Level 1 and Level 2 foil chase cards.

This is an excellent thread guys. Greg, interesting analysis of TMNT # 1 in high grade and IMJ, I agree re: Strange Tales 135 - certainly undervalued. 130s might be near the end of run for newsstands, I would have to check where they stop publishing them...if these are high grade I would slab them and throw up some super high BIN prices - I know there's collectors looking for them with no supply available. Re: Check your worthless old 1990s Image books...

I was cleaning through boxes on my Indys last night (trying to add my latest bulk buys of sandman and Hellblazer) and found about 10 image newsstands. I already have a pile set aside, which I plan on selling as a lot on eBay. In terms of rarity later issues, especially Spawn 100+ in newsstand are q...

Re: X-O #1 Brushed metal variant question

Awesome reply. That sheds a lot of light on the subject. True, the unknown is a monetary risk but the unknown is kind of exciting to me. I base what I pay for books on emotion. If it makes me feel excited to be in the mix then it is worth it. I enjoy the chase. Thanks for all the great info! I agre...

Agreed. I recently rescued Rai 2 and 3 out of a 3/$1 box.
The books weren't even bagged and only mid-grade but I'll save pre-unity all day long at those prices.

Re: Board Opinions: Is there anything worth reading in VH2?

Yes we have gone over this time and time again over the last 10 years there are good stories in VH-2 Bloodshot 1-16 was outstanding Magnus 1-6 was good also X-O was good to start like 1-4 with Sean Chen drawing it and like Magnus became a mess fast the art was fractured after it and just never reco...

Re: Opinions on Autographs

I generally don't like signatures on books. Perhaps I'm an outlier. I like my books in original condition and often times signatures are placed in the worst places possible on the cover. Don't get me started with GA and SA signed books! :!: This is where I am at on the issue. Although, that Unity b...

Re: What's the first appearance of Q&W or the preferred book

Just a small add on to the convo regarding previews, I think there is a distinction between free and a monthly publication. I.e. Marvel Age. It was a monthly book in comic book format and size. I absolutely think they qualify as first appearance. And any other published material would also be first...
