Re: PREVIEW NINJAK #16
Little confusing reference to Fitz there...guy in the next panel looks like Fitz but I highly doubt it is supposed to be?

Re: Ninjak #15 Discussion
Did anybody try the phone number on the pen? I tried what I think it is (1-800-555-7858). Rings but no answer. And I'm not even sure that's the right number. Upon closer inspection it seems blurred to prevent one from telling whether it's 7656, 7856, etc. I guess it would be beyond hope Valiant set ...

Re: How many of you listen to OTV with adblock on?
Are the ads separate files or are they part of the normal stream? That would effect whether adblock even picks up on them.
Honestly, I haven't listened to OTV in about 8 months as that is how far behind on Valiant I recently became...

Won't be an issue unless they call them lightsabers.
Ironically, Lucas himself seems to only ever call them "laser swords" when referring to his own stinking movies...

Re: PREVIEW: BRITANNIA #1 (UNLETTERED)
So I only recently really caught up with Valiant, and thus only just read up on what Britannia is supposed to be. And I'll admit, I'm feeling a bit cautious right now. The first flag is that this preview reads more like what you'd see from Image. With the rich universe Valiant's created, it's surpr...

What is Bloodshot Annual #1 "Hellcloud Awaits" a parody of?
I got that the other backup was a parody of Crisis on Infinite Earths, but this one is still confusing me a bit on what it was parodying. It reminds me of a crazy indie comic from the '80s or '90s, or maybe an excerpt from an issue of Heavy Metal. Anyone have a more specific idea of what it is refer...

Re: Lemire's Bloodshot: Some thoughts
I can't dislike it. It's too much of a Fury Road homage for so much of it, hahaha.
I was annoyed that it was clearly a dream as well, but I'm able to look at it now as simply an Elseworlds-type story.

Re: Imperium #16
Rolled along pretty well with lots of plot points developed. But the end confused me, Gravedog's dream and revelation. "The war, from the beginning, has been lost." Did I miss something? Harada and his team seemed to have been winning the day. Despite seeming to have the upper hand, Harad...

He's not wrong. At the last convention I was at, they were indeed 50 cents a pop, and since I was buying so many of them the guy ended up giving me a discount (like I bought 25 of them, and he just said, "Ahh, 10 bucks."). He had boxes of them that he said were sitting unopened in a wareho...

Re: If I have one criticism for Imperium...
I've been catching up on Valiant back issues after taking several months off, and just read up to the current issue of Imperium. I have one major criticism of this which I'm sure the new Harbinger series that is coming soon may address, but I wonder if anyone else felt this way: there just doesn't ...

Re: WHAT IS VALIANT COMICS?
It's funny they keep saying "It's the world outside your window"--Jim Shooter always said "It's the world outside your door" about his New Universe line at Marvel, and I think he definitely took that idea to Valiant when he founded it as well. I'm glad that the Valiant reboot has...

Re: 17 pages of ads..
Wait! 17 pages of ads? That's the kind of thing that makes me wonder how they are really doing as a company. Especially after being told the last issues of imperium use photoshopped pictures rather than art in some cases. I don't believe that the art in the book was literally photoshoped pictures, ...

Re: Comixology Unlimited
I tried Scribd once for 30 days, has anyone tried this new service and Scribd? How does it compare? Scribd also let you download comics for offline use. Scribd had a LOT of Marvel (full runs, read a lot of old Daredevil comics like Bendis' run, Miller's run, that kind of thing), as well as a lot of ...

Re: A&A: The One Percent #1
I think anyone taking this too seriously is reading too much into it. It was supposed to be hilariously off-the-wall, with the premise of what would happen if a James Bond villain was an immature early 20-something with a taste for partying. I think this new villain is actually going to quite intere...

I really really really liked it. Probably one of the best "stand-alone" issues I've read. And that art...man. Blew me away. I've found I really like psychedelic palettes and this gave Kano a run for his money. I hope she comes back in the next story arc of Doctor Mirage or Shadowman or wha...

Re: Speculation: Divinity's main character replacement for S
It is just rampant speculation at this point since we know so little, I know. Still fun. Do you all think the character's superhero name is actually Divinity? Sounds more like a description of the concept of the character, not his superhero name. Like Imperium is not going to be the name of any actu...

Re: Anyone got a line on release date of year two Deluxe Edi
I've been so passive about reading the Valiant titles as they've come out that I've dropped them all except for Rai, but I'll buy the Deluxe books as long as they keep the same format and bookshelf appearance, otherwise I'll just stop buying those too. I can't stand a publication world of mini-seri...

Re: Time travel in the VEI Universe
I watched Interstellar too and it definitely gives I think the best illustration of what it would be like to be God. If God exists he is definitely looking at our timeline like this, where he can manipulate any moment or second of it to his desire to have exactly what he wants to happen happen. And ...

Re: Harbinger Omegas #3
This issue *SQUEE* me off something fierce! I too felt that it wasn't a story in its own right. I thought this miniseries would be the grand finale to this storyline, or at the very least, a climactic story that edges things further to the endgame, but instead, this whole mini just feels like setup...

Speculation: Divinity's main character replacement for Solar
Valiant doesn't have the right to Solar, and he's all tied up with the Gold Key license holders who would demand a fee anyway. From what I'm hearing about the power set of the main character of Divinity, combined with the tone set in the preview about people regarding him as a god or "god-like&...

Anyone got a line on release date of year two Deluxe Edition
I've been putting off buying the TPBs with the expectation that I can buy hardcover Deluxe Editions for year two, anyone have any idea when these might be coming out? The only thing I can find on Amazon is a Deluxe Edition collecting all the Armor Hunters and tie-in issues. I understand for some ser...
