Preordered it. Just a collection of the original #1s. Assumed to be an IP copyright continuation play more than a sign that there will be more original content.

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH
The money is there to fund it already… The money WAS there. It all comes down to whether they set it aside to facilitate the creation and shipping* of this KS or did they turn it into a Ponzi scheme (intentionally or not) to cover some of the costs of the past year. Whether it ends up good or not, ...

Re: Daredevil #1 Need Help Evaluating
Based on the sales linked for what seem like lower grade books than this one, yes, they will net well over $1750 if they find a buyer. They always would if they bothered to do all of this.
If they wanted to sell it as is, no, they weren't going to do better.

Re: Daredevil #1 Need Help Evaluating
I love all these people who come to my shop saying "if you get it graded it's worth X." Yeah, but it's not and we don't know the grade and it's going to take a long time to get it back from grading, so unless you are willing to do that I'm not getting that. Even if it was graded, we aren't...

Re: Book of Shadows #1
Isn't this Persephone somehow the result of Deadside gets (stupidly) personified from the last Shadowman run? As for this issue, so many problems. First is I'm not in for Bunn. That's my problem. The rest is on the book itself. The inside cover intros are reused word for word halfway through the boo...

Re: Armorclads #5 (2022)
The "decent movie sequence" of last issue turns into Matrix Revolutions when the machines invade Zion. For several pages. And then everything just ends with no real resolution or reasoning for this series to exist. They throw in an "after credits" type of sequence to tease a larg...

Re: Armorclads #4
Probably would make for a decent movie sequence (which this entire series seems to have been made for anyway), but the artist isn't quite up to snuff to make it work in comics.

Re: Layoffs & Resignations Leave VALIANT’s Future in Doubt
It's genuinely amazing they were able to publish the little they did post-pencils down. It was mostly terrible, but they still scraped together enough for a while. The article doesn't mention any creatives specifically. Be interesting to know if Bunn or Cloonan or Parker have posted anything publicl...

I was highly skeptical of the timeline and their ability to handle the logistics, but I backed anyway.
I would imagine this KS gets added to the two other comics KSs that didn't deliver (still looking at you Liefeld).

Do they need some jpgs to calm them down.
I mean... NFT and scam go hand in hand. Even when something is delivered.

Red line is when it was announced DMG had taken full control. Caveat/Disclaimer: The numbers here are intended to show the long-term patterns over time. The numbers can't be perfect as they do not include reorders and then there's your standard icv2 and comichron do they best they can but are always...

Re: VALIANT(DMG) APRIL 2022 SALES CHART!
How often was Shadowman a bigger title than Harbinger? In the VEI era, they've been pretty much the same (give or take a few hundred copies). 2013 - Both were in the 10-12k range (decreasing from 12k to 10k as the year went on). 2014 - By 2014 they were both in the 7800 range. And while there are n...

Re: Armorclads #3
Oh I couldn't tell you a name or codename for any character in this book. But I couldn't do that for other new world books like New Masters or We Live either. I'm just getting old that way. And to be fair, the genericness of it all is on par with the books I mentioned but this is definitely better t...

Yeah, this is just a big barrel of trading-water-fine.
It's really so much what's the point? Right in line with Armorines or Secret Weapons (the new team) or HARDCorps or Psi-Lords. Just a cast of interchangeable nobodies in similar outfits. But now we have our journey quest, I guess.

And we wrap it up by reverting back to the absolutely unbearable, underskilled writing of issues 3-5. The navel-gazing, emo, teenage YouTube singers my 9 year old listens to have more sincere content than these two writers. Seriously, just babbling b.s. "A swirl of pain and tragedy, blackness i...

Re: Post-Unity Solar, anything worth reading?
Solar, Man of the Atom #46-60 – Jurgens’ take on Solar (including a five issue run that writes a whole new world) is ambitious and probably looked a bit better on paper than the final versions. They feel very cartoony or cheesy in the Valiant Universe. I enjoyed Bedard’s follow-up on the title quit...

Looking at my comments from a few years back (all int the Re-Reading forum), I enjoyed Solar a lot through #24 and generally up to Chaos Effect. Everything after (like most titles) was skipable.

Not only for VEI, but the problem with fandom in general. "This isn't what I thought it should be" or "I've made up my own head canon for this property and this is teh suck compared to that!"

Bloodshot - I was rolling my eyes at the writing and art before the end of the first page. It got worse as it went. I loathed this. Armorclads - Preview of #1 from, what, six weeks ago? X-O - Centerfold with art by Pete Woods, so, you know, not at all representative of the book that will be coming. ...

Literally zero FACTS have been presented by anyone in this entire discussion that has now gone on for months....
