There has been very little Sliders discussion on this thread on slidersfans.com.

Re: VALIANT And The World Outside Our Window
The Binding of Isaac remains the most screwed up story of any mythology/religion. God: sacrifice your infant son to me to show your obedience. Abraham: okay. :picks up knife and starts to murder his only son: God: stop. I was just joking... It was a test. Abraham: oh good, that was going to really b...

Re: Since I seem to be in conspiracy theory mode
Definitely Adjustment Bureau starring Emily Blunt and Matt Damon. Great Movie. Also, Philip K. Dick probably knew things we didn't know. His writing, in hindsight, kinda seems more prophetic than crazy. I often wonder how many crazy people just see things the rest of us can't. Sent from my Pixel Fol...

Re: VALIANT And The World Outside Our Window
If it was not otherwise stated to be a tessaract, it is presumptive to asume that a tessaract is the only explanation. It could be a glome. It could be a doorway, a portal to elsewhere in this universe or to hyperspace. There could be some kind of space dilation, not that the satchel is bigger on t...

You haven't read most of Valiant. old Valiant and acclaim is like saying I read every Stan Lee comic so I know Marvel as well as anyone now get your damn Miles Morales and your Knull off my lawn Do you have any idea how many hundreds of comics that was? "Not most of VALIANT"? How many com...

I petition Greg rename the site slidersfans.com. I'm down for the Sliders discussion being a regular thing. I specialize in obscure/canceled/unpaired pilot media and I never find others that even know what I'm talking about. Sliders at the end was nuts. Not really good nuts, but it was quite the rid...

Re: New VALIANT Comics
I'd like to see a maxi series that expands on the events from Rai #0, with each individual issue showing the end of each character's story as detailed in that single issue. Layton could write the X-O Manowar issue, Hall could write and, potentially, draw the Shadowman issue. Vanhook could write the...

At this point of the board's evolution, I'm waiting for the day I log in to see that Jim Shooter has made a post confirming the presence of of the counterfeit VALIANT books and Cyberstrike is reading comics again.

Re: Wow, huge slap in the face to kickstarter supporters
Yeah. I don't think we've seen anything that would lead us to believe they're rebooting. DMG continuity was pretty hodge-podge, so that actually makes me less excited. :? I do hope they can fix whatever continuity hiccups have come up. There's always hope. It would be cool if some of the Alien peop...

Re: How bad is it to take a CGC graded comic out of its casing and read it?
I agree with these guys. CGC graded books are sort of the second half of the idea, "one to read, one to keep". You can read your "keeper" books, but if that was your plan, it's cheaper just to buy "one to read" and avoid graded comics altogether. Does this still apply ...

I'm still here routinely enough. I post a little less though mostly because I've been focused on a personal project that I put most of my attention towards for some time now, and then also because there isn't much to say that hasn't been said until there is something new. I really need to find the ...

I don’t post much anymore but I thought I’d chime in here… I met Danielle in 2019 at SDCC. She was instrumental in making the last Valiant poker game happen that year and was just a wonderful person in general. I wish you all the best at Alien, Dani. :) I just realized I should have reached out to ...

Re: This Board and Alien Books
Speaking of Rotten Tomatoes, I like to occasionally sort that site to filter to less than 30% and see how many of my favorite movies are there. My tastes clearly do not align with the masses most of the time. Also, I've told my wife that my superpower is enjoying things. It's rare that I hate someth...

Re: This Board and Alien Books
Yep. Didn't help that they disbanded their committee of comic book writers that reviewed the scrips. They did that loooong before the movies started sucking. I don't think anyone thinks the comic book committee was really being listened to ever. For Phase 1 they must have been. That was definitely ...

Re: This Board and Alien Books
I agree. Phase 1 was the best. It was very solid though up to Endgame. They crapped the bed with that movie (impressive considering their source material - Hickman's Infinity crossover), and wrote themselves into a hole. The blip was a mistake that ruined the MCU. They should have undone it. Their a...

Also agree Shadowman would be a great next movie with VH1 being the inspiration.
Mutant X was fun. I'll take any superpowered shows - The Gifted, Alphas, etc.

Re: This Board and Alien Books
Bloodshot could have been that for VALIANT (it's actually not a bad movie, or a bad adaptation), but for multiple reasons (some that didn't even have anything to do with the comic book or the quality of the movie -- i.e. people's unexplained disdain for Diesel), the movie didn't perform as well as ...
