Re: 2.6

Is Valiant still a Diamond Premier publisher? DCBS still has them on their Premier Publisher pulldown list, but when you click it it says there are no results. But you can find the titles under "Other Publishers"

Valiant and U.S. Open Cricket

Has anyone seen a news story about this that doesn't savagely ridicule the whole idea? facepalm

Re: 29 years of collecting Valiant...

But if anyone thinks it's all over for Valiant because 2020 isn't the greatest year ever, I'll point to Marvel and D.C. history. They were at low points, too. They both did " OK " in at least a few of the years that followed - even if their biggest fans walked away (or lost interest) for ...

Re: DC Layoffs

I agree that COVID hasn't helped. What other factors do you guys think has led to the decline in readership across the hobby so badly that this is happening? Overall lack of quality / entertainment value for the money is big factor. Only crazy folks (us) would pay $3.99 for five or ten minutes of (...

Re: If this is as good as it’s going to get then watcha gonna do? Take the poll!

Other. I stopped reading every Valiant title after Venditti's X-O run. I picked up most Faith-related stuff after that. I have Life and Death of Toyo Harada but have not read it yet. To me Valiant took a nosedive when Kindt and Lemire took the reins from Dysart, Venditti, Van Lente and that guy who ...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Finishing up Crisis on Infinite Earths again and about to start Legends. Going through all the big Post-Crisis DC crossovers. Also reading early Wolverine (first issue through Fatal Attractions). My pull list nowadays: TMNT (consistently the best book on the stands for years now), Superman titles, F...

Re: Bloodshot - The Official Movie Novelization

I'm doing quite well! We again have internets in house as of a year of so , but our time in the "wilderness" gave us a really healthy appreciation of and respect for all the aspects of a "connected life" both good and bad. So far no one has reverted back to a zombie yet. :hope: ...

Maybe a good VEI alter ego... Peter Stancek Kris Hathaway Faith Herbert Colin King Aric Dacia Gill Abrahms ??? I was leaning towards Max "VIP" Blackwell. It is a deeper cut for a Valiant name. 8-) Although Valian Tisbetter is a good suggestion too. :thumb: Val Ian Tisbetter is better

Hey, guys! I have a few near complete runs for sale that some of you may be interested in. Most are in good shape (VF+/NM-) but I'm going to list them here as reader copies to keep from having to check condition on all of them. Eternal Warrior #4, 5, 6, 7, & 9 through 50 (missing only 1, 2, 3, 8...

Vertigo Preview #1. It's got an exclusive Sandman story not reprinted elsewhere. Probably hasn't signed too many of those.

Re: The Image Revolution

Loved this so much I bought in DVD. I've heard the stories before, but it was awesome to see the interviews and all the archive footage. Such a crazy and important time and comics and I had a front row seat. Most of the early Image books, I can remember the day I bought the first issues and they fel...

Re: Onslaught/ Marvel relaunches

Heroes Reborn sucked. Heroes Return were some of the best Marvel Comics of the 90's.

Lobdell and Alan Davis' Fantastic Four, Waid and Garney's Captain America (should have never been "reborn" in the first place, and Busiek and Sean Chen's Iron Man. :cloud9: Great stuff!

 No, I told him that I didn't want to make him uncomfortable and I changed the subject. Although I doubt he'd have any anxieties about talking about it if he'd liked the idea, so in his reluctance to answer, I kind of got my answer anyway.

Re: Does Valiant make writers sign NDA's?

A few years ago I asked Rob Venditti about his opinions on the way Legends of the Geomancer was released and whether he wanted to talk about it and couldn't or whether he could talk about it and didn't want to was never made clear. Bone-a-Fach-ee was there and as soon as I asked the question Rob loo...
