Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT September 2019 Solicitations
And people give me squee for not buying what DMG has to offer. The comments lately speak volumes. Its very sad how things continue to go for valiant. If it intrests me Ill buy it but I refuse to buy a bunch of junk I dont like or enjoy blindly. I am a valiant fan Im not a DMG fan. Ignore the peanut...

Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT September 2019 Solicitations
None of this excites me. I'm not sure if Bloodshot can be redeemed, and this new direction sounds really ho-hum and lackluster. Another new secret agency out to get Bloodshot?! Yawn. Lemire set such a high bar that no one can follow, it's all going to be ignored and regress back to plotless action. ...

Re: Psi-Lords #1 Discussion
I really really love Van Lente's A&A, Ivar and LotG. I don't hate GEN 0 but will admit that the direction was entirely wrong and ill-suited for the characters. Did not care for WAR-MOTHER at all. It came out of nowhere, had nothing to do with the 4001AD event and just seems totally random and ch...

It wasn't his last hurrah. Issue 8 was a double sized issue! That was his last hurrah.

Re: The Life and Death of Toyo Harada #4 Discussion
It's odd, because LV-99 is one of the few characters that I don't think it makes a huge difference to kill off. He doesn't affect the plot much but he has so much character! More character than some of the recent newer characters like War-Mother or any of the Psi-Lords. He leaps off the page and ha...

Re: VALIANT MAY 2019 COMIC BOOK SALES
For the limited amount of books Valiant publishes it's mind boggling that they don't give all but one slot to A-list characters. I agree that Dr Mirage and Punk Mambo are A-listers. But War-Monger and whatever is KIllers are not. Their branding of the newer titles stinks. I won't read FORGOTTEN QUEE...

Re: VALIANT MAY 2019 COMIC BOOK SALES
I recognize the name Brett Booth and often avoid titles that bear it. Me too. Recognizable doesn't mean quality. They're starting to pull from a well of talent that looks more '90s era to me, like Whilce Poratcio and Ken Lashley. They don't fit Valiant, IMO. They look more like Marvel/DC artists, o...

NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo! He was one of my favorite characters! Can't Toyo just re-spawn him?
I was really hoping for an LV-99 / Mecha Major buddy cop book where they have to travel across the country together and get in adventures.

Re: Valiant: The Complete Digital Comic Book Collection
The overseas printing, and really sending all manufacturing jobs overseas, began in the '80s under Reagan's laissez faire economics. They began deregulating corporations who then put their shareholders first above their own workers and above the consumers. They don't care about their own country, it...

Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT August 2019 Solicitations
I’ll throw my two pence in :P You do have to wonder about Valiant’s business plan? Is it to make money or something else? :? Releasing 6 to 7 books per month but constantly having 50% of the books with B or C level characters with B and C level writers! :? Is this a budget constraint? Why launch a ...

Re: VALIANT APRIL 2019 COMIC BOOK SALES
And hearing you guys rave about Life and Death of Toyo while I wait for the trade is torture. And looking at the numbers for Toyo makes me sad. But I get it. It's not a simple story and not one you can just jump into. I wonder if Imperium and Toyo were simply titled Harbinger and numbered consecuti...

Re: VALIANT APRIL 2019 COMIC BOOK SALES
So I've finally begun to taper off. I have zero interest in War-Monger, BS Rising Spirit, or Livewire. I feel this, but I really think you should give Livewire a shot. What is giving you apprehension? I guess it's because of the fallout of HW2. Ack, I guess I never got the trade for HW2 either, jus...

Yes! I am excited for Fallen World! Also Incursion and Life and Death of Toyo.
The upcoming X-O I'll have to wait and see. Same thing with Tim Seeley's Bloodshot, Killers and the recently announced Dr Mirage.

Re: VALIANT APRIL 2019 COMIC BOOK SALES
I trade wait everything. The only single issues I have are some of the zero issues and one-shots that weren't collected. And, of course, Legends of the Geomancer. sigh. The one thing I really love about Valiant is their cheaply priced trades. Especially pricing the first volumes at $9.99 similar to ...

Re: VALIANT MARCH 2019 COMIC BOOK SALES
HW2 makes no sense. Harbinger Renegade makes no sense. Those last 3 issues of Bloodshot Salvation make no sense. Ninja-K and Shadowman were both great and ended too abruptly. X-O is just pathetic and pointless. I actually liked Gen Zero but I agree with the people that say it was the wrong direction...
