Re: Solar is such a rip off!
Dr. Manhattan was moral slime. :thumb: I think he was a little Aspy.. not on purpose.. just becasue he didnt understand. I think he actually felt a little bad, for himself, that he couldnt relate... but not so much that he didnt continue his quest for knowledge and such. Seems like he could have th...

Re: Solar is such a rip off!
The Solar character is such a rip off of the blue guy in Watchmen. The original Solar, published by Gold Key, predates Watchmen. And that's what Valiant's Solar is based off of. Perhaps Dr. Manhattan, 'the blue guy', is a rip off of the Gold Key Solar? The Valiant Solar isnt too much like the origi...

I don't consider pressing to be restoration. There are just too many unknown variables in any environment that can damage a comic to worry about a controlled variable that will simply straighten one out. Much of this argument is whether or not the comic is 'restored'. Those against say that because...

The fact heat is applied to the comics during pressing is a stumbling block to some. Yup - I believe even the LOC states that high heat can alter the paper fibers. Add pressure to that, and it can't be good for the comic. That's why I don't ever want a pressed book, it may look like a nice 9.4 (and...

Read before you leap... Er...umm... Joanna is a she. A truly excellent job by the colorist! He made chicken scratches look good! :P I honestly wasn't paying attention. Whoops! Dang-it-all! That's what happens when you half read posts. Still, a great talent! If I did that, I wouldn't ha...

it's pretty easy to create a character. Especially a hero. Ask yourself these questions about your character: 1) Why is your character a hero at all? 2) Who is your character? A socialite, a geek, a soldier, etc... 3) What would your character do in a crisis? Would he throw punches, shoot something,...

No Ed Norton Hulk included in the movie?? IIRC, the Hulk might be in the flick, but Norton won't be. I hope that's not the case. Norton was the better Hulk by far! It's a shame the 2nd hulk wasn't such a hit since it was much better than the 1st. I'm betting the it fell victim to the 1st's shortcom...

Red Hulk is Glenn Talbot. Leader brought him back from the dead as well as Betty Ross who is in a close relationship with him now. Of course, they haven't disclosed his true identity yet, but I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume. As for the storyline, I'm loving it! It's really cool how they pieced ...

I think the reason characters get reinvented is simply because their fans are growing up and there's no new fans to take their place. The comic companies are simply trying to keep the fanboys they have by trying to keep the characters interesting. Games and lack of proper distribution are the bigges...

Congtats on the score—the Danbury Mint usually does a great job on their cars. I was really disappointed when after the Mint began taking orders for the ’66 Batmobile canceled them. Try getting the Hot Wheels Batmobile Elite! That is an awesome car. Probably better than Danbury Mint. You can get ei...
