Back on track.

I am enjoying this at the moment. I like theway he is focussing on the politics behind the team as opposed to "here is a new threat lets fight it and wait for the next one."

I personally thought it was well written but that doesn't make it good. The idea of Mephisto approaching them is really cool and it was really dark but just not that interesting. Another example of why Joey Q should only be editing his bowel movements and not comics ecause he isn't that great. I thi...

VEI may yet surprise us and publish comics with prices that rival DC's and Marvel's. I really hope so because that will be the major deciding factor for so many buyers picking them up or not. Saying that though if they come out and the first few issue are great (which we all know they will be right...

Oh wow another Wolverine book. This is just what we need. Someone needs to tell Marvel to stop it. It's not big and it's not clever. You know all those Liefeld characters we like to *SQUEE* about? The ones who know how to do nothing but fight? THEY ARE JUST WOLVERINE!!! Why don't people realise that...

Just read the last issue and it is quite easily some of the coolest stuff I have read for a long time. While everything else is chucking out crossovers and tie ins left right and centre, this series has kept that sort of thing to a minimum - 4 specials and a tie in (The upcoming stuff with Blue Beet...

I tend to buy more back issues than new comics as I get to read everything as it comes in. I very rarely buy new comics but it does still happen. Rarely.

Had a quick flick through Red earlier with Draco and we cried our hearts out at the fact that it only has 20 panels featuring VALIANT characters and even then it is only 2 who didn't actually do anything. There isn't even a mention of Deathmate or what Deathmate is all about. [sighs]*SQUEE* me Rob I...

I didn't think I was quite there yet (just teetering on the brink and toying with the idea of collecting Crossgen and, after a discussion with Draco, Atlas) but I guess with the talk of New Universe and Impact I have to put my name down.

Deathmate - Help me

Can anyone please tell me the correct order to read Deathmate in.

No, this is not a joke

Yes I am crazy.

I actually want to read it but the colours and no numbers do not help and there is no indication in the comics of the order except for Prologue, Blue and Epilogue.

A review and info magazine should remain informative and unbiased. Wizard, whilst giving the odd bit that is informative, is not unbiased in the least. They generate hype for things that are total dog *SQUEE* while leaving gems to rot out of the way and unread by those that might enjoy them. They te...

As I said, I respect him as a creator and he has done some good stuff (I quite enjoy a lot of his war books) and, just like the Beatles to music, his impact is undeniable. All I am saying is, I don't think he is that great.

Same with Giffen and DeMatteis' Justice League run. I read those as a punk 18-19 year old, and the juvenile humor really worked for me....now? Not so much. Oh no you did not! Coming in as the 12th commandment after 11. Though shalt not get caught is Though shalt not bad-mouth Giffen and DeMatteis' ...

I don't think it's the equivalent of a lost Beatles track (as Marvel's hype machine says) but I really am looking forward to it. If nothing else, it will be fun. BTW, I like the Beatles "Free As A Bird" but "Hi this is John and Yoko, please leave a message" just seemed sad and d...

VA Meeting - My Valiant Story

Hello. My name is Drift and I am a Valiantoholic. I started collecting comics about 6 years ago when a friend of mine that I worked with came back from his lunch break with a pile of comics he had picked up from the local comic shop, which at the time I didn't even know existed as I was a bit of an ...
