Re: Questions on CGC Prices of VH1 Solar and Magnus
What kjjohanson is true... There is a processing / printing problem with this book... Now we know why there are only 11 graded at 9.8 This is from my Magnus Robot Fighter run. The front cover is flawless, but the back is a totally different story. Here is a detailed image: http://i1258.photobucket....

Re: Questions on CGC Prices of VH1 Solar and Magnus
Do you see the copy that says "These bikers are tough"? That white thing coming out of the "T" in "These" isn't part of the art. That should be blue. It's damage to the paper, caused during the printing process.jmatt wrote:I don't see it. Where's the defect?

Re: Bloodshot #51
I had considered bidding on that the first time I saw, but then I won this auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bloodshot-comics-47-48-49-And-51-NM-M-condition-/170907458618?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&nma=true&si=m097FJ4aW9lX4J85rVuxCih5aN0%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=n...

Bloodshot #51
There's one seller who seems to enjoy selling the same copy of Bloodshot #51 with a top-edge crease: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLOODSHOT-51-LAST-ISSUE-VERY-HTF-VERY-RARE-VERY-HOT-NEW-VALIANT-/221130342486?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item337c654056" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false...

Re: Someone help me understand this one...
Here's my best guess: One person thought "I really want this book, but no one else is reasonably going to bid much more than $20-$25 on it. So let me just put in a bid for $100 and I'll be sure it's mine." Then another person thought "I really want this book, but no one else is reason...

Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE
Warren, I figure it's probably a decision that comes more from the business end than the creative end, but regarding reprinting '90s content, we've already seen most of the hard-to-find pre-Unity reprinted. Most issues post-Unity are easy to find cheap, except for late-run. Any chance that we'll see...

Re: Questions on CGC Prices of VH1 Solar and Magnus
Why are there only 11 graded (9.8) of Magnus #13? Was is due to a printing problem? I was quite surprised that this book is priced higher than Magnus #12 I have 3 copies of Magnus 13, and they all have the same defect on the back cover, left side, towards the bottom. Must be a print defect because ...

Re: 2012 New York Comic Con - VALIANT Panel
I'm planning on being there Friday and Sunday, but am leading a hike on Saturday. (Conveniently, my LCS still has Friday and Sunday tix available, but no Saturday.) I'd be up for a post-panel gathering if anyone's into it. I'm new to this board (actually, joined a few years ago and posted once but h...

Re: Are there enough variants for everyone? What are you mis
I think I just read the same 3 or 4 points repeated a dozen times each. Speaking as a Valiant fan from way back that is jumping back into comics with the new line, I'd have to say that I have little interest in collecting all of the variants that I wouldn't be getting for cover price. Initially I wa...

Re: How many copies of the same book are you buying?
When X-O #1 came out, I only bought one copy of the cover that I liked, but since then have picked up both of the subsequent #1s. I'd probably continue to do that if Valiant limits the regular-priced variants to #1 issues (or special issues) to have a complete collection (I'm not interested in the p...

Shadowman Black
It looks like the market is establishing a value for the Shadowman Black retailer preview at about $100. I'm not a big collector of incentive variants, but this book looks really nice.

Re: CGC 9.4 Dr. Solar #1 (1962) - $1,400+
I managed to grab a 3.5 (by my estimation) for about $20 a few weeks back. It's not as nice, but at least I can still pay my rent.
