Re: VH 1 Can Never Come Back

ManofTheAtom wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2024 11:22:22 am Like saying that Shadowman dying in 99 is not the same as Jack dying in 99.
Good example.
That's how it could play out, but is it what people want to see?
If it's very well made, then it'd be ok by me.

Well, killing Darque and ridding the world of the Darque power could be separate events.

Re: VH 1 Can Never Come Back

If whoever publishes VALIANT is going to do that, they might as well reboot so they can have both the original characters in their prime and those new concepts. While I agree with the post, I think it's worth pointing out that "might as well" is not the same as "should instead"....

Re: Corporate Wars

In a Corporate Wars event, each different corporation involve in the conflict could be used to reflect a real-world corporation, like X, Meta, Amazon, Wal-Mart, the Trump Organization, etc. Corporate states like in Rai 0 indicate corporations that can control governmental aspects of life. Tradition...

Re: Corporate Wars

Thinking about it, it occurred to me that it would be cool if they did the VEI version of the corporate wars alluded to in Rai #0 (which would be different from the Harbinger Wars). They lead to the Harbinger wars so it would be like a prequel. One that takes place right now since it says that the ...

That suggests multiple timelines or at least that the way the 90's and Unity happened for future Gil was different. Doesn't he mention at some point that he remembers things happening differently? Yes, "It didn't go like this. It's all different. Worse". And then there's that scar that fu...

Re: I know they both smashed robots in Unity but

who would you say is stronger - Magnus or Gilad? Just saw some comparisons in Unity. In Archer & Armstrong 1 Albert seems to rank Magnus only slightly above Gilad. Asked who (except for Aram) can knock a robot's block off he answers: "Magnus, Rai, X-O... probably Gilad, too". In Rai 7...

Magnus in Gold Key and Valiant

Another thread mentioned that elements from the Gold Key series of Magnus were reused in Valiant, so I got curious just how much it is. In the general setting I see at least 1-A, Leeja, Senator Clane, president Claiburne, major Timbuc, Outsiders, the one thousand, weather control, Danae, Sam, junko,...

Re: So my girl started reading Unity

I believe that the foreword in the Second Death trade mentions that Faith read the Doctor Solar comic books. It does. Written by Seaborn Adamson, it says that Phil, Faith and Archer read them. There is also a discussion about the three universes. Ours, the one in Alpha and Omega and the final Valia...

Re: So my girl started reading Unity

Russ Manning does not exist. Or, at the very least, the Magnus comic book never existed. Reminds me. Magnus 0 has a little tribute to Russ Maning on the first page. In the cityscape there is a big billboard sign for Manning Systems. When things exist on a meta-level, usually they don't exist on the...

I was wondering if Kalam could have been born before Gilad was truly "activated". Took a quick look at the timing: TW 0, Middle East, 4000 BC, give or take, Vandal and Triahna escapes Four years later, birth of 3rd son, all killed by spider aliens except Vandal and brothers, Ivar captured ...

MAYBE Timewalker #0. I think it suggested that that woman from the future experimented on their parents for the purpose of creating someone who could survive the time arcs. Re: So my girl started reading Unity

I checked. In Magnus 12 there is no reference to Erica. I just saw that Magnus 27 pretty much undoes this. Noel, who was trapped in a robot-dinosaur, says he was rescued by scavangers and brought to Mother-God. It does not say how long time it took, just that he was half-dead (from thirst/starvatio...
