Good story Knight. My first Valiant was post-unity and I want to say it was Rai and Future Force/ Magnus. Back then I got a lot of my Valiants secondhand from a used bookstore (EdMcKays--Knight should know this store), and I remember getting a lot of RFF and Magnus because I really liked the Malev s...

Armstrong went away. In one of the books it says he wondered to different planets. I believe he made an appearance in the late issues of Magnus (44). Check it out--in fact I am going to re-read mine to see if it elaborates.

He was in various places to say the least.

Impulse/Kid Flash

I have question for the DC fans. I am currently re-reading my Impulse collection from the 90's and in issue 8, Impulse has to fight a character named Blockbuster (not the movie rental place). This character tells Impulse (as all villains do) that he will be no match for the mighty Blockbuster. Block...

Good thread, I will have to re-read the Psi-Lords issue to see what happened to the Harbingers at the end of the issue. A couple of disagreements that I had was that Obadiah (Rai's son) had nanites within his system from the beginning (from conception--that's why he was so special, he was the first ...

Even though each issue was $6.95, each issue was worth it. This was one of the better series that the comic industry in general produced during the past two years. Darwyn Cooke's art fit the time period he was covering perfectly, and the plot was excellent. It made even me (Kyle Rayner fan) like Hal...

I agree, it helps us fellow VC.com members to know who the *SQUEE* ebayers are so that we stay away from them.

I haven't read it yet, but come on, it's a young new guy who happens to be Hispanic. DC is trying to reach new young readers.

You guys probably like Hal better than Kyle.

Predator vs Magnus Robot Fighter

I don't know if this one has been addressed before on the boards. I just re-read the two issues. Both had excellent BWS covers, and the Lee Weeks interior art was appropiate for the the Dark Horse style of the 90's. What I found very interesting was that a Predator had killed an X-O Manowar class ar...

I cannot stand Liefield's art in all of the comics he has done, but this isn't that bad. This may be one of the pieces that he had someone else help him draw.

Heroes Con

Is anyone planning on attending the Heroes Con in Charlotte this summer? I know there are some other members in close proximity to this con.

I haven't been since 96, but I do remember it being a wonderful con with great stars.

Don't get me started on the price of gas. When I was in Iraq, I heard it was getting higher, and when I came home it was 2.90-3.00 a gallon. Now it's creeping back up. I am not buying the supply and demand argument either, because those greedy son of a guns posted the highest profit in corporate Ame...

Geomancer-- I stopped collecting after Birthquake as well, but a few series have grabbed my attention. Batman Hush, Adam Strange, Space Ghost, Identity Crisis. I really enjoyed all of those. Brotherhood of the Blade and Star Wars:Battle Front II on PSP.

There is a scenario is SW:II where you can fight as any of the Jedis vs Sith Lords and their minions.

Excellent game.
