Re: How is this CGC 8.5?
CGC IHMO grades the different era's based on a different set of standards and allows more defects for grades on the older eras. If that was a copper age or modern age book it would be something crazy like a 7.0.

Re: Vehicle & Playset Sale!!! Vintage MOTU, TMNT, Hot Wheels
I have had plenty of stores like what you are describing. Back in 2012, I had a scammer buy a complete GI Joe 1985 Mauler Tank, steal all the small parts and ebay forced me to take the return and there wasn't anything I could do about it. Now I mostly sell any vehicle/playset as parts or sell the b...

Still, there is always a guy you can never please.... Yeah.... Every round of sales I always have some degree of anxiety about "that" guy.... I've got a story right now that you guys wouldn't believe. Seriously if I can get around to telling it you're going to be reading the screen with a...

Re: Bloodshot Trailer
It looks like Dinesh was trying his best to “do things right” with this movie Valiant introduction. Bloodshot with a Harada cameo, which would lead into Harbinger movie with Peter and Harada featured, then second movies of Bloodshot and Harbinger to bring the stories along, with Harbinger Wars movi...

Was such a great run and Butch Guice's artwork was top notch from that series.Chiclo wrote:I never really got into CrossGen but my wife read Ruse #1 a few years ago and asked me to track down the rest of the run.

I haven't ready X Men since Age of Apocalypse, and have enjoyed each issue of the the new X series. I heard both ser...

Re: Undervalued Gems
Does anybody know why there’s been a hike in the asking and selling prices for Lucio Parrillo regular and variant covers this summer? Some of his Red/Queen Sonjas from 7-10 years ago have suddenly become quite overpriced, in my opinion. Maybe the new Marvel Conan titles steered new people toward hi...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
Anyone look at Avengers v1 #8 recently? It's selling like crazy in any grade. 7.5's used to be a $300 book, but now VF slabs are seeing actual sales on eBay of $1100 - $1500. I've got a raw copy that I've bounced back and forth over the years with being a 7.0 or 7.5. I'm tempted to have it pressed ...

The Ultimate lines got me back into comics in about 2001. I loved most of the runs but sold everything when it was hot except for the X-men run.

You can use joeypost from the CGC boards, https://cfpcomics.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
He is a bit cheaper then the one at CGC and he personally drives to CGC once or twice a month and delivers books directly to them.

I think in the coming years most popular Vertigo titles will eventually get made into movies/tv shows, ie Sandman, Fables, etc.

I'd listen to any offers for books listed in this thread. Not sure if you would be interested, but would you trade one of your X-factor # 24 cgc 9.8 WP...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
A lot of the issues past 120 had small print runs, and then after say 235 seemed to have an even smaller print run. A lot of these books can be found in dollar bins. I picked up a run from roughly 110 to 220 last year for less than a $1 each and the store owner acted like I was doing him a favor by ...
