Re: AmazingSpider-Man#298-388|Michieline McFarlane Larsen Ba
My concern with ASM 361, unlike other keys is that there seems to be so many copies available. If anyone remembers my collection I bought that was heavy ASM, well it had five copies of this book (and a second print which is crazy to think that book went to a second printing). I think you’ll see mor...

Re: Buy, Sell or Hold
I would hold, it is unfortunately news that the people made Valiant great are leaving, but I am sure DMG spent a good chunk to acquire them so it would be in their best interest to try and continue to make even more money over time with movies, etc.

Re: Crazy Rare Books on eBay this week (Not Mine)
Even though the book itself is common, the there are only 19 Harbinger #8 CGC 9.8, and only 4 sales recorded on GPA analysis since 2011. I personally sold two copies on these boards ( after 2011), which obviously wasn’t reflected in GPA analysis. IIRC, the last one I sold back around 2015 for about...

Re: Setting up eBay store?
How are you shipping? I'd really like to have my packages just to drop off at the post office rather than go-in and interact with a postal employee who resents me shipping cheap. I see that people are printing paypal shipping labels, but how are they paying the shipping and more importantly how are...

Re: Setting up eBay store?
This may sound silly, but if you live in an area where you can sell higher priced items. I would sell them locally and the less desirable on ebay. For myself, it is really the other way around, but I have never committed to a store as it goes in spurts as to what I have for sale. They do have a cost...

Re: CGC Resubmissions
Depending on when you bought the ASM #300 9.6 it might be worth a shot. If it was after the original Spiderman 3 movie, prices were really down. If it comes back a 9.8 you will be in great shape. I think you can send it to be pressed in the CGC case if you are worried about transit damage, or just h...

Re: Bowen & Other Statues In General
Randy Bowen ended up going through a bitter divorce and that is what ended the company. I also believe that Marvel (Disney) would not have renewed him for a new phase. Near the end, the last year or so, he barely had any statues available for sale.

I got into them recently and at least the Star Trek crew was rather cheap. I was able to get most on damaged cards for $60 and under. Wow, that's actually pretty awesome and a good plan. You got a brand new Mego collection by buying damaged carded examples. :thumb: My thumb's up here is assuming th...

Re: Amassing My Complete Amazing Spider-Man Run
Huge ASM acquisition this week - thanks to GGSAE for a few, as well as a lucky trip to my LCS on Wednesday wherein I spotted a 9.2~9.4 copy of ASM #238 with the lakeside tattooz intact! I had a good pile of store credit saved up for something special after selling off my set of early SAGA issues a ...

Anyone here collect Megos?
Hey guys, I finished all my 80's toy collections in 2017 so I started to collect the Star Trek and Planet of the Apes Megos. I was not born until 10 years after these came out but boy are they nice. Anyone else here collect either of these lines?

There are certain 80's board games that do decent money, Fireball Island, Heroquest, Darktower. A lot of people don't know they have valie. The last large comic collection that I purchased had a complete Heroquest that the owner was going to just throw out.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
ASM 300 is on fire! I have had a CBCS 9.2 for awhile and recently started looking for a higher grade to add to the collection. CGC 9.8's are costing around $2000!!! That's crazy. I had to "settle" for a CGC 9.6 which still cost me a pretty penny. This book has a high print run and I read ...

Re: huge bulk lots of vh1
Agreed, best of luck. I wish you hadn't given them an excuse to grade them at 9.6, at least on this first go. There has to be some psychology at work there. I always thought I got less 9.8s when I screened at 9.6. Also, I'm not sure I'd want 50 9.6s to hit the census all at once. 50 9.8s bothers me...
