thought I posted this earlier
put the books in a container
get a trash can (clean) and fill it with charcoal
put the container with the comics in the trash can
close the lid on the trash can
leave it for 7-10 days
the charcoal should filter out the smell.

I use DCBS, and have for several years. I'd recommend them to anyone. A friend of mine that orders a lot of comics every month says that he uses both DCBS and MOC, and every month he fills in his order with both companies, then just places the order with whichever is cheaper. I think its hard to shake 20+ years of the way a character was and just be able to clear your mind and go into a new universe without comparing the two, intentionally or not.
