Re: Bloodshot: Reborn #13 Discussion

I actually loved this arc. We know BS was subject to false/implanted memories when used as a weapon by PRS but we'd yet to live out an arc with this at the core of the story. I think it was perfectly executed and a great nod towards continuity by keeping with the original Swierczynski run :thumb: B...

Re: A & A 0 Gold CGC 9.8 Green Label

I don't mind green labels at all when it's a signature by someone who freely offers signatures (such as Jim Shooter). There's no incentive to "fake" a Jim Shooter signature, unless the book was otherwise worthless. Maybe a giant stack of Rai #9 with Jim Shooter signatures being sold for $...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

My first time on X-men in a while. I read the issues of Ultimate X-men that Kirkman wrote, some Peter David Madrox and X-Factor stuff (great stuff!) and since before the crash...that's about it. I read the House of X #1 a couple times and liked it. I have the other two to read still. I'm not the bi...

Taking this off track. Have you read any of the House of X or Powers of X? I haven't ready X Men since Age of Apocalypse, and have enjoyed each issue of the the new X series.

House of X and Powers of X. I have not read X-Men since Age of Apocalypse, but I gave this one a try and it's the first time I have been going to a comic shop on Wednesday to read the subsequent issue. If you liked Hickman on Manhattan Projects then you should try this series. The format (as in the ...

Re: I started my first Armor Hunters read last night

I read the Armor Hunters deluxe edition. Whatever was included in that one kept things pretty clear. It was a decent story - a good comic book read. That was the way I read it as well. Good story. Made me get back into XO. Im tracking down the deluxe editions of XO 4 and 5 so I can finish the serie...

1. Knightfall- Not because it was the best story, because I was 11-12 and it was the event to follow for that year. My friends and I would bike up to the LCS and get them as they came out. It was a lot of fun and something to look forward to. I remember it being right around Death of Superman too. ...

1 Age of Apocalypse[/b] - This could be handed down to a person who NEVER read a US superhero book and I think they would still enjoy it a lot. Ten issues into Immortal Hulk and I am absolutely loving this title. Thought the title of “Immortal” Hulk was going to play out as a cheap gimmick - boy, was I wrong! Really dark tone to the series, with a really rich depth to the character that I don’t think he’s had in *years*. Dips more than it’...

Re: Integrity of grading companies

Hypothetical situation: let’s say a crook was altering many expensive comics and submitting them to CGC, and CGC didn’t catch them, or purposely passed them. They ended up having high grades. Let’s also say this crook was getting an unbelievably huge amount of grades of 10.0 on expensive books from...

Love those Green Lantern slabs, I was a big fan of Emerald Twilight back in the day. Me too! Although, I wish Hal had stayed crazy and wish DC had left him in the past.
